AMISHA TO SUE HER FATHER

Though every industry faces legal cases some time or the other, but Bollywood seems to be hit the most at this time of the year. Let's have a glance at the present scenario in our movie world.

Actress Amisha Patel of "Kaho Na Pyar Hai" fame has served a legal notice on her father Amit Patel, charging him with mismanaging her accounts and assets amounting to Rs 120 million and demanding back the money due to her. The notice blames her father for mismanaging her accounts and swindling her money. Amisha, who reportedly received threats of defacing from her father, has left her parental home and is now staying in a rental flat. Because of financial dispute, tensions flared up in the family and Amisha received threats, legal sources said. The legal notice calls upon Amit to settle her accounts immediately failing which Amisha would drag him to court and sue him for mismanagement of her assets. Amit reportedly suffered business losses and several of his creditors are after him to recover their money. Amit was out of city and not available for comment!

The Bengali director, Rituparno Ghosh, is making a Hindi movie titled 'Main Azad Hoon'. He has signed Amitabh Bachchan for the main role. Gosh has decided to offer the role of Amitabh's wife to Shabana Azmi, as the latter is only Bollywood actress who can fill this vacuum. Moreover, Ghosh had cherished a desire to direct a movie with the two leading stars like Amitabh and Shabana in his movie.

Sush as Vastu scholar

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen is doing a movie on Vastu Shastra, which of late, catching up everywhere, even abroad. This is her next movie after ' Main Hoon Naa' starring Shah Rukh Khan. Her movie on Vastu Shastra has again created a demand for her by the producers and the directors. Sushmita is very excited with this assignment as she says she has a liking for Vastu Shastra. When she got this offer, she immediately grabbed it. Sush plays the role of a learned scholar of Vastu Shastra in the movie.

Kareen & Shahid in 'Fida'

Kareena Kapoor will be soon seen fida (crazy) on her boyfriend Shahid Kapoor, and she emphasizes that she is the only girl in this movie. Her performance in 'Fida' would surprise the viewers, she adds. " Now I am doing bold and meaningful films like 'Chameli' and 'Fida'", she avers. Kareena confesses her liking for Shahid but this is limited to friendship and nothing beyond. She blasted the myth of any idea of marrying him at present, as her priority is her filmi career.

Rani as Pakistani girl

Bengal beauty Rani Mukherjee played a Pakistani girl in Yash Chopra's movie,Veer Zaara. The other star cast will be Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta. According to sources close to Yash Chopra, the movie is inspired from Pakistani activist and lawyer Asma Jahangir who has been crusading for human rights in that part of the world. The details of the story are yet to be scripted.

Abhishek Bachchan has done an item song ' One Love' in 'Rakth', and it has charmed all those who have seen it. Suniel Shetty is fascinated by junior Bachchan's performance and has highly acclaimed it. Abhishek has a special appearance in the movie. Shaan has sung the song.

Manisha alias Madonna and Preeti as Britney Spears

A movie is in the making in Mumbai to show the two Hollywood characters on the big screen. This is titled 'Chahat Ka Nasha'. The producer is Umesh Chauhan. Hritik Roshan has already clapped the muhurt shot recently. He also took them the two actors as the real ones from Hollywood -Madonna and Britney Spears. The movie's star cast comprises Sharad Kapoor, Shiyaji Shinde, Snehal and Govind Namdev, besides others. This is the same team, which was earlier seen in Jayaprakash's ' Market'. The theme of the movie centers on two singers of Hollywood. Every one knows that Madonna had her days but now is the turn of Britney. At one time Madonna was on top. But both of these Hollywood singers reached the pinnacle of their career by sheer display of their skin and body. Let's see how the two Indian artistes -Manisha and Preeti Zhingiani follow in the footsteps of their Hollywood counterparts.

Who will act opposite Amitabh?

Romesh Sharma is making another movie to introduce his son Karan in the film industry. Amitabh Bachchan has a major role to play in it. But there is no indication about the heroine to play opposite Big B. This is in spite of the fact that Amitabh's heroine has a big role to play too. Romesh Sharma is looking for a heroine. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Yes, Romesh has very difficult task before him to choose a 'Baghbaan's Hema Malini for his movie to act opposite Amitabh Bachchan.

Aarti pairs with Shahid in 'Milenge Milenge'

The 'Aawara Pagal Deewana' girl, Aarti Chhabaria, will soon pair with Shahid Kapoor in Boney Kapoor's 'Milenge Milenge'. This news has spread like wildfire in the film industry. Kareena Kapoor who fights fiercely with any of her colleague if she finds her near Shahid. She doesn't hide it and declares from the rooftop. How Karteena would tolerate it can be anybody's guess. Moreover, Kareena is ale in the cast of the movie. Aarti may have taken Kareena in confidence. Aarti is, however, very excited to have an opportunity to work with Boney Kapoor as producer and Satish Kaushik as director. She is happy otherwise too. Aarti has been acting in 'Ab Tumhare Hawale Wattan Saathiyon' though it is full of stars. Besides, she has signed on for Govinda's forthcoming movie 'Sukh'.

A shock for Bhumika

Bhumika Chawla is a pretty girl who has already acted in 'Tere Naam' and 'Run'. Bhumika was depending very much on her latter movie. She thought that she is paired with Abhishek Bachchan in 'Run', so the critics and the viewers would definitely take due note of her performance in this movie. Alas! This didn't happen. True, the movie was presumably made for Abhishek, and therefore no body bothered about Bhumika or her performance though the critics and the audience had appreciated her acting in 'Tere Naam'. In this movie, she acted as a girl next door, and she did it beautifully. This film helped her to seek recognition in the industry though it didn't help get many movies. Well, Bhumika, you need not bother much. The film industry is unpredictable as far as one's career is concerned. One becomes famous or vice versa in the film industry.

Hema to direct film for Esha

The dream girl-turned-politician Hema Malini will leave no stone unturned to get her daughter Esha Deol set in Bollywood. She has decided to direct films for her. Hema says that she has already earmarked two stories for Esha. She adds that this will deal with the relationship of a mother and her daughter, and she will not direct it. This will be a mega budget movie. However, she will direct the other one, which will cast Esha and a senior artiste like Rekha, if the latter agrees. This will be a small budget film. This doesn't mean that Hema would quit acting in other films. She has already agreed to act in Ravi Chopra's 'Babul', besides of course, her tele serial 'Kamini Danmini' on lines of 'Geeta and Seeta'. Since she is an active artiste, she maintains herself very well to look pretty, by controlling her diet and weight. Esha keeps a check on her mother's secrets of health.

RIYA TO CUT MUSIC ALBUM HERSELF

Riya Sen, a pretty girl of Bengal and hailing from a filmi family of heroines shot to fame with her music video of the remix Jhumka gira re. She says she did this contrary to the advice of her friends. The favorable response to her music video has encouraged her. So she has decided to cut an album herself. She says that she has begun work on this and has already recorded two songs for her album. The eldest son of Bappi Lahri, one of the top singers of Bollywood, has rendered these songs.

She said this while talking to the media recently on the occasion of the launch of the new multi-access entertainment portal of Airtel Live Nokia phone. She seems to be addicted to a mobile so much that she is mostly into SMS, screen savers and ring tones. The mobile is a source of entertainment for her, she adds. When asked to elaborate her present occupation, she said she is doing three movies, besides her first love for workouts. Among her films are 'Zahar' opposite Imran Hashmi. Her 'Saazish' and 'Bachelor' are scheduled to release in November, she added.

Rahul acts in 'Elaan'

Rahul Khanna, son of actor-turned-politician Vinod Khanna and brother of actor Akshay Khanna, feels at ease in Bollywood. He is working in Vikram Bhatt's 'Elaan', which is an action-cum-adventure film, starring Arjun Rampal, John Abraham and Lara Dutta. Rahul expects this movie to release in November. Rahul does not rule out doing a film with two gay male protagonists. He said this in reference to the recently released movie 'Girlfriend', directed by Karan Razdan.

Nagma: Marriage is not essential in life

The hit girl of Bollywood and also of the South is averse to marriage. This is none other than Nagma who has had so many hits both in Hindi and in southern films. She considers marriage as an avoidable thing, as it deprives a person of achieving his goal of life. She said this in her recent chat with the media in Chandigarh, where she is busy these in teaching in the art of living.

Suman Ranganathan to remarry

Bollywood actress Suman Ranganathan is determined to enter a family life again. She has been feeling lonely since she separated from Gautam. She is reported to be thinking of having a partner in life. However, she is clear in her mind that she would now marry a right person only. She says she is looking for a fully secure and a self-reliant man, but he needs to respect her and her freedom. Yes, Suman is right, but she needs to hurry up lest it's too late.

AAMIR TO ACT IN 'RANG DE BASANTI'

Aamir Khan seems to have decided to be a film director now. However, he says he would endeavor in this field after completing his present mega movie 'The Rising' based on the life of Mangal Pandey, the first soldier of the Indian Independence movement launched in 1857. Aamir says he would be seen on the big screen frequently after he releases his most cherished movie. Aamir was in Mumbai recently in connection with the exhibition of his documentary on his 300-hour long shooting of 'Lagaan'. He promised those present including his fans, that he would enter direction but not immediately. He also revealed that he would act in Rakesh Mehra's 'Rang De Basanti', and some other films.

He said that after 'Lagaan' he had disappeared from the big screen for some time, as he needed some rest after his long innings of 15 years in the film industry. Moreover, he reiterated his resolve to concentrate on one film at a time. This is because he needs to prepare himself by doing his homework for a couple of months for playing a role in a film. Besides, he devotes at least five months in its shooting. The actor added that his performs according to his conscience though he has had no formal training of acting in any professional institution.

Amisha: Anil Sharma was unfair to me

Amisha Patel has revealed to the media that she refused Anil Sharma's project 'Tumhare Hawale Wattan Saathiyon' as Sharma had not been fair to her. " I just want to say that I don't want to be part of a private limited firm where politics and manipulation go hand in hand." She further said, " I can afford to walk away and I won't change my character, or lose my morals."

Shilpa smokes in 'Khamosh'

The 'Dhadkan' girl is being noticed these days doing item numbers and bold sexy scenes. Not only that Shilpa Shetty would soon be found smoking a cigarette in Dipak Tajori's 'Khamosh -The Silent Witness'. She is doing the character of an escort girl. Does she know that most of the film stars have vowed not to smoke on screen in response to the call for boycotting cigarettes and tobacco?

Beware Lara Dutta

An ex-Miss Universe Lara Dutta has an ambition to shine in the film world. She is now taking rounds of the Mumbai streets, and doesn't mind doing item numbers even. She did attract the attention of the viewers in 'Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost'. However, she could not do much after that. She wanted to follow the khallas girl Isha Koppikar, but didn't succeed. She acted in 'Bardasht' with Bobby, but in vain. In fact, she needs to choose the right movies. Now, she is signed on for 'Aan', but only for songs. Beware Lara; otherwise you may face the fate of Mamta Kulkarni, who disappeared from the tinsel world so soon.

Amrita Rao has made a hat trick even without any display or exposure of her body, as is the tradition in Bollywood these days. Pick up any girl of the tinsel town, including world beauties like Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley and Priyanka Chopra, or sex bombs like Mallika Sherawat or Meghna Naidu. They have all done it freely.
