Valenciahave made a move for Liverpool defender John Arne Riise but theNorwegian does not want to leave Anfield, the player's agent confirmed.
The Spanish club have asked Liverpool's management severaltimes about a transfer possibility according to Riise's agent JanKvalheim.
But the 26-year-old Norway international has repeatedly said that he wants to remain at Liverpool for the rest of his career.
"JohnArne has been told by his club that Valencia are interested but this isnot something that he wants to think about right now," Kvalheim told VGNett.
"There are so many rumours in England at the moment and a lot of speculation, it's hard to comment on them all."
Riisehas been looking to prolong his current two-year deal at Anfield andhas instructed Kvalheim to begin negotiations for an extension.
"JohnArne will respect his commitment to Liverpool, his contract runs out ina year and a half but he wishes to stay for as long as possible,"Kvalheim said.
