Is Hrithik turning Spanish?

Hrithik Roshan will soon be seen speaking Spanish on the big screen though he has not signed up for a Spanish film. Rather, the Spanish version of his debut venture, 'Kaho Na Pyar Hai', will be released in Spain and 20 other Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America. 'Reencuentro Con El Destino', the dubbed Spanish version of the Bollywood blockbuster, will be shown in phases across the Spanish-speaking countries, trade sources said. To begin with, the film will be released in Peru and Colombia. The release of the dubbed version in Latin America is the result of a deal signed between the film's producer and Hrithik's father, Rakesh Roshan, and a Pune-based company PPL Entertainment, whereby PPL acquired the Spanish dubbing rights of 'Kaho Na Pyar Hai' from the Rakesh Roshan-promoted Filmkraft Productions. As per the deal, the company secured the rights to distribute and exhibit the dubbed version in Latin American countries, such as, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Costa Rica, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Spain, as well as the United States. It is of two-hour duration, one hour less than the duration of the original film.

Preity: I don't cultivate with married men

Preity Zinta has no interest in a married person. She said this while denying any relationship with Saif Ali Khan. The media has alleged her affair with Saif following her closely working with him during the shooting of 'Kya Kehna'. "I don't want to keep relation with a married person. Until recently Raveena Tandon has been a heartthrob for her industry and fans. Since her marriage she is turning a realist. Now she is turning a producer and considers herself to be Ramu. She is looking after the production side of his brother's R.T. Entertainment. Raveena says that E. Niwas is directing her one movie while Sangeet Sivan is doing the other. She says she has no interest in making fancy films or those with masala. Her interest is in thriller movies though.

SHILPA: ITEM NUMBER HELPED MY ROLE IN 'KHAMOSH'

Deepak Tijori, the actor-turned-director, is coming with his second movie 'Khamosh --- a Silent Witness'. Recently,visited its shooting when a song was being picturized around a costly set of a pub on the one side and a roundtable stage for dance on the other in Mumbai's Cinevista studio. Junior artistes with bunches of fake notes and empty liquor glasses were seen during Shilpa Shetty's practicing of her dance. Here Shilpa Shetty plays a sophisticated escort girl. Soon enters dance director Ganesh Acharya and Jatin- Lalit with their song. Acharya gives a green signal to the take.

The song resounds Mera Mun Bhauran, Mera Tun Bhauran... The song was okayed in fourth take. On inquiry, Shilpa Shetty confessed that this was her item number in the movie. She said, " Yes, I am not averse to dance. However, I am not interested in doing an item number only. In this movie, this song has taken the story ahead. This song is essential for my role as Sonia." This movie has Deepak Tijori as a super model.

A former Mr World Rajiv Singh is also there. Besides, Shahwar Ali of the 'Hawas' fame is also included in the movie. The two new faces from the modeling world are there to lend further support. Rajiv Singh told, "This is my first movie. Before this I have done modeling in eight countries, besides music videos too. I am very excited, and feel proud of acting with Shilpa Shetty. Since I am a known model, I am playing the lead role in this movie.

Former Miss World Diana Hayden is getting crazy on junior Bachchan. Whenever she is asked about her relationship with Abhishek, Diana says, "Abhishek is a sweet boy." Threat reminds Namrata of her promise

Namrata Shirodkar didn't know that giving dates to film producers is completely different from promising dates to politicians. She learnt this from a recent incident. Namrata had agreed to canvass for a political party in the recent Lok Sabha polls. However, she forgot about it. When the time approached for canvassing votes she was found leaving for abroad. Meanwhile, she got a call reminding her of her promise to seek votes. Interestingly, she cancelled her foreign tour to keep her promise!

Karisma, Sunjay make 'good progress'

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and her industrialist husband Sunjay Kapur have made "reasonably good progress" towards settlement of disputes between them arising out of the actress' bid to take their daughter abroad, the couple informed Delhi High Court on Friday.

"They have made reasonably good progress....They are fairly close to settlement but have not yet resolved the dispute," senior counsel Ashok Desai, representing Sunjay Kapur told Justice Mukul Mudgal.

As Karisma's counsel Mahesh Jethmalani and Arvind Nigam agreed with Desai, both the parties urged Justice Mudgal to hold the proceedings in his chamber as they wanted to update the court about the progress made towards settlement.

The chamber hearing lasted for over 30 minutes during which central government counsel Kailash Gambhir was present for about 10 minutes.

Sanjay deserted me: Karisma to HC

Later, Justice Mukul Mudgal adjourned the case to September 27 as the couple sought a "little more time" to resolve the issues arising out of Sunjay's petition seeking to restrain Karisma from taking their daughter Samaira abroad.

The court had on August 30 prevailed over Sunjay and Karisma to talk to each other to sort out their differences amicably in the interest of their 5-month-old daughter.

Both the sides had agreed to the court's suggestion to settle their discord without creating much ill-will towards each other.

The court had asked them to report back the progress made in thrashing out their differences by the next date. Sunjay was present in the court during the hearing.

Shahrukh, Salman to perform at Sahara One Sangeet Awards

Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan will share the stage for the first time in the United States at this year's Sahara One Sangeet Award ceremony to be held on September 24.
Actress Rani Mukherjee will also join them in the performance along with ace music composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan and Pakistani pop sensation Faakhir at the Oakland Arena off San Francisco in California, a Sahara release said here today.

The Sangeet Awards 2005 will be hosted by popular singer Shaan accompanied by actor and VJ Anuja Dandekar, the release added.

Adding glamour to the Indian women's hockey, the Indian Women Hockey Federation signed Bollywood beauty Mahima Chaudhary as its new brand ambassador.'I was interested in hockey, since my childhood and was an active player during my school days', Chaudhary said after the announcement of Indira Gandhi International Hockey tournament at the National stadium here on Friday. When asked if she would do live commentary following the foot steps of Mandira Bedi, Chaudhary said it was 'out of my domain'. IWHF President Vidya Stokes said the Federation looked forward to a long association with the actress and hoped that it would draw some sponsorship to it for the next season.
