Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff is pushing the club to choose Liverpoolboss Rafa Benitez over Jose Mourinho at the end of the season. The Mirrorsays Cruyff has already made a report to president Joan Laporta, urgingthe club to ignore the claims of former Chelsea boss Mourinho andinstead pursue Benitez, whose tenure at Anfield is far from certain.
Cruyff holds no official role at the Nou Camp but he is Laporta's closest adviser.
And he has identified Benitez as the man toreplace current Barca coach Frank Rijkaard, who looks certain to leavethe Nou Camp in the summer. |

Rafa Benitezemerged as the top candidate to replace Frank Rijkaard in the summer.It was reported that Barcelona President, Joan Laporta, would try totempt the Spaniard back to Spain.
It is almost certain that Rijkaard won抰 be at Nou Camp next season. He has been linked with a move to Chelsea recently.
Rijkaard is said to be under fire as they trail Real Madrid in therace for the Spanish title for the second season running. Real Madridare leading the table with 4 points.
Barcelona has joined Valencia and Atletico Madrid in the race tosign Benitez. Despite all the speculations, it is unlikely that he抣lleave Liverpool. |
