Mumbai: A well-deserved luxurious arrangement was organized at the Cinemax foyer for all the brave and selfless people who rushed forward to assist the victims who were affected by the serial train blasts that shooked the city last year. Cinemax and the Youth for People (YFP) came together to salute the spirit of Mumbai. They honoured the volunteers who literally gave hope and a new chance to the wounded.
A huge number of celebrities walked in at Cinemax to acknowledge the noble deed initiated by the citizens of Mumbai. The list saw the likes of Madhur Bhandarkar, Vipul Shah, Ashok Pundit and Sudhir Mishra amongst the many. The event featured a small documentary on the strength and courage exhibited by the public during the 7/11 blasts thus reminding the people present that no catastrophe can dampen the spirit of Mumbai! Cinemax and YFP helped uplift the grievance mood set up by the anniversary of the blasts and also managed to promote the concept of 'Selfless acts'. Madhur Bhandarkar, Vipul Shah, Ashok Pandit, Sudhir Mishra were present at the ocassion.

London: Shah Rukh 'King' Khan's fever swept across UK as thousands of dedicated fans queued for several hours, to get a glimpse and chance to meet their favourite star at the 4th Asian Lifestyle Show in Olympia, London. Not even UK's biggest sports weekend, Wimbledon tennis finals, the British F1 Grand Prix, Tour de France, live earth concert and all the
road closures around London could put people off coming to see the King Khan.
Carving Dreams Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. facilitated this special visit of Shah Rukh Khan. The 3-day weekend saw over more than 25,000 visitors. Fans got a life time opportunity to get up close and personal as the superstar signed autographs, appeared on the two huge stages at the venue, charmed and interacted with the crowds, enacted his favourite film dialogues from his recent blockbuster 'Don', a scene from 'Devdas', and also sung the few lines from his all time favourite movie, 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge'.

Mumbai: The success of Anurag Basu's 'Life In A... Metro' was celebrated with a grand bash at 11 Echoes, which saw Bollywood celebrities having a ball of a time. Kangna, Sharman and Irfan Khan were present from the cast of the movie and they cut the cake together.
At the success party, UTV also announced a three-film deal with Anurag Basu. One of the films will be a sequel to 'Metro', which will have the same star cast as well as the 'Metro' band, which was an integral part of the film. Apart from that, he also will be directing 'Suicide Bomber' for Vishesh films. Celebration took palce on Thursday evening. Other celebrities present were Neetu Chandra, Payal Rohatgi, Rituparno Ghosh, Kunal Kohli, Ken Ghosh, Satish Kaushik, Vivek Agnihotri, Sharman Joshi.

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan accompanied by Mani Ratnam and Shaad Ali graced the premiere of Sabyasachi Mohapatra's 'Jai Jagannath' in the magnificient foyer of Cinemax last night. A minor stampede occurred as King Khan entered the venue and had to be ushered through the back door on to the dias where the music launch of the movie took place.
This was the first time that a movie had its music launch at the premiere with Shahrukh and Mani Ratnam cutting the ribbon to launch the music. Event took place at Cinemax, Versova in Andheri on thursday night.

Mumbai: The first anniversary of Aurus Lounge Bar was celebrated with a grand bash at the restaurant on Friday night. Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Zayed Khan were the biggies present at the exclusive bash which saw a mix of Bollywood, Fashion and Television crowd mingle and take to the dance floor until the wee hours of night. Karan Johar and Gauri Khan arrived together and were followed by Shahrukh Khan who walked in much after midnight and mingled with Preity and Ness Wadia. The Glam brigade consisted of Malaika and Amrita Arora, Preeti Jhangiani, Kim Sharma, Sucheta Sharma, Arpita, Rosa and Neelam.

Akshay Kumar with his close-cropped hair look made heads turn as he made his way inside the venue. The actor was in a very good mood as he interacted with all. Vidya Balan dressed in a chocolate brown outfit looked chic. Sajid Khan was upto his usual antics as he made humorous comments on all his stars. Aamir Khan plays cricket with Lagaan contest winners Email this article

Mumbai: Bhuvan, Goli, Guran and the rest of the crew from the 'Lagaan' team walked in a packed shopping mall in Mumbai to play a game of cricket. So even as actor Aamir Khan won the toss and elected to field, the other team comprising of the winners of the Lagaan DVD contest, put 105 runs on the score board. And the 'Lagaan' team got second time lucky, when they scored the target with Captain Aamir pitching in with a fast 18 runs. An excited Kiran Rao, Aamir's wife, was seen cheering from the sidelines. After the match Aamir Khan gave away prizes and gifts to all lucky winners. The match took place at the Infinity Mall, Versova on saturday noon.
