hishhh bising lak david dein nih, dah la dia bawak masuk si Usmanov tu.
Ex-chief Dein: Arsenal struggles prove me right
Former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein believes the club face a challenge tomaintain their status as Champions League regulars but has backed Arsene Wengerto put the Gunners back on track.
Wenger & Dein: Former allies at Arsenal
Dein left the club in 2007 but has been consistently linked with a return tothe Emirates Stadium, possibly in tandem with Russian businessman AlisherUsmanov's Red and White Holdings - to whom Dein sold his stake in the club.
He would not be drawn directly on his future intentions or a potential returnto Arsenal but did state that as a fan of the club he was concerned about theirrecent form.
The Gunners endured another disappointing result yesterday with a goalless homedraw against West Ham leaving them five points behind fourth-placed Aston Villaand out of the Champions League places.
''When I left I said it was only because I could see what was on the horizon,''he told Radio Five's Sportsweek programme. ''I said it was in danger of slipping and I think that's what is happening atthe moment and it has to be contained.
''This season is one of the most delicate in that they are fighting for theirChampions League place.
''The first goal is to get that Champions League place. Five points behindAston Villa is a mini-mountain to climb but there is talent there and there isresolve. They can do it.''
When pressed about his own future plans he said: ''I'm there for every homegame, I still see the boys playing and still get a tremendous feeling ofentertainment because I still feel part of it.
''I'm an Arsenal fan through and through. I've been offered many glamorousopportunities with other clubs but I'm not looking for a 24/7, 365-days-a yearjob and Arsenal is my only club.''
Key to those prospects will be Wenger, who Dein believes would be an almostimpossible figure to replace.
''I call him the miracle worker,'' said Dein. ''He does it year-in, year-out and for 12 years we've been in the ChampionsLeague every year. That's not easy and it's getting harder.
''He does get stressed but you don't see it it. He conceals it brilliantly. Hisexternal persona is calm, collected, pensive. He's such a professional.
''I think only he can say when he feels he's had enough of putting on atracksuit and a stopwatch in the morning.
''The easiest thing to do is to get rid of someone. The clever thing is to findsomeone better. He would certainly be a hard act to follow.''

Haha! Arsene sudah bersuara!,
Wenger: Arsenal do not need ''instant saviour''
Arsene Wenger maintains Arsenal do not need an "instant saviour" in the shape of Andrei Arshavin or anybody else.
The Russian playmaker has been in demand all summer.
TheGunners failed to make up ground on fourth-placed Aston Villa followinga goalless draw at home to West Ham, while leaders Manchester Unitedextended their advantage to 10 points, with a game in hand.
Whilespeculation continues over whether or not Arsenal will complete a dealto land Russian playmaker Arshavin from Zenit St Petersburg over thenext 24 hours, Wenger remains resolute with the faith placed in hisyoung team.
"We do not need an instant saviour," declared theArsenal manager. "There is always a danger that people always want awonder man, but I do not believe in that.
"I believe we have tokeep going, and accept that the expectation level on him would be veryhigh - if he joins us. But if he doesn't join us, then I am not morepessimistic."
Wenger added: "We also have not to go overboard with the crisis we face - let's judge our team at the end of the season."
Arsenalmay have stretched their unbeaten run to ten Premier League gamesyesterday, but there was a sense of another opportunity to close thegap passing by.
Abou Diaby, later carried off with a thigh injuryduring stoppage time, saw his header deflected on to the crossbar inthe first few minutes.
Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor, currentlya shadow of the 30-goal striker from last season, failed to convert thetwo best chances of the match in the second half.
Leading scorerRobin van Persie had been left on the bench for more than an hour in anattempt to protect the in-form Dutchman, and perhaps with one eye onTuesday night's FA Cup replay against Cardiff.
While the likes ofEngland winger Theo Walcott could be back in contention within a month,Wenger was more cautious over the optimism expressed by captain CescFabregas in his desire to be fit again from a serious knee problem andlong-term Tomas Rosicky is unlikely to feature much before the end ofApril.
The Arsenal boss maintains everyone at the club mustremain "strong and patient" as they seek to regain some ground on thesides above them.

Arshavin misses Arsenal medical due to London traffic jam
By 1970抯 Gooner
Arshavin is in London and doing well.
There has been a lull of information coming out of either camp with the on going saga of Arshavin抯 transfer to Arsenal. Some journalists have even questioned whether Arshavin has actually made his way to London to undergo his medical and sign the transfer papers.
Arshavin was not on the plane with the rest of his Zenit teammates when they returned from their winter tour of the Arab Emirates. He took a different route but with the same destination: The Emirates in London |
