i have just finished reading On The Way to The Wedding, book 8 in Bridgerton series... by Julia Quinn
my opinion:
- this book has different undertone, tapi lagi ok dari buku no 7
- not as witty as book 1-5, sadly..
- mentions of other bridgertons are extensive, macam anthony & kate, colin and hyacinth.. tapi why no family moments for all of them
- i really love if gregory and hyacinth moments together were highlighted even more, since both of them were the youngest in the family and they are the closest to each other
- the heroine, she is meek.. seriously, first half buku ni sgt ok, second half tu banyak benda boleh elaborate more
overall, the book is not completely satisfying as the previous bridgerton series.. JQ truly lost her pace here.. but am satisfied (a bit) compared to hyacinth's story |

witty and funny.can't imagine how she can stand her power-monger boss.
cerita mengenai seorang yg supposed to be writer/editor or somebody kat publishing company tp end up jadi slave-like kat editor. post dia as assistant editor mmg tak leh pakai langsung.
but she got all the signature brand dgn percuma....prada,gucci etc:love:
this so-called demanding job buat dia tak de life langsung...jarang dpt bersantai dgn bf,family and friend.(kesian)
tp her job juga buat dia kenal dan bergaul dgn igh class punya org.
the first novel that makes me enjoy reading this much.
selalunya mrs cepat bosan baca novel
looking foward to watch the film:love: |

3) Yang Teristimewa - Siti Zabehah Ibrahim - I am lucky with this untried author for this is a good book - mengisahkan dilema seorang gadis yang tidak diakui anak oleh ayahnya sehingga die phobia nak bercinta dgn lelaki ...mencari identiti diri ..disamping membantu suami arwah sahabat karibnya menjaga anak2 kembar yg kematian ibu....- yang tidak memuaskan ialah penggunaan Bahasa Inggeris yang agak lintang pukan grammar nya....I suggest that any author that wants to add in English conversation for their characters should get somebody grammatically good to assist or at least to edit their work....isyyyyy...pepandai plak mekna ni....:nyorok: |

Eighty million eyes looked on in horror as America's favourite funnyman died on camera - for real. But homicide was no laughing matter for detectives of the 87th Precint. A murdering fiend was hiding among Gifford's faithful. And it was prime time the hardworking cops explored the lifestyles of the rich nad famous - and caught a killer whose eyes were now focused onm police blue....... |

Blink: the power of thinking without thinking
tak dapat 'feed' rohani lagi, so 'feed' akal dulu pun tak pe lah kan...sbb teringin sesangat nak baca buku2 mcm dexa baca tu.
blink is about conclusion that we can make the first 2 seconds (with a blink of an eye) we meet/read with new people/books.
about prediction and how we can predict something fairly without taking much time. It's also bordered with personality.

finished this last week
based on true story
The story of Fauziya Kassindja, who fled her African homeland to escape female genital mutilation and forced polygamy. The book tells of her life in Togo, Africa and then of her time in America where she went in search of political asylum. This was finally granted in June 1996.
The story of Fauziya Kassindja, who fled her African homeland to escape female genital mutilation and forced polygamy.
Fauziya's progressive father had shielded her from the tribal practice of polygamy and female genital mutilation in Togo, Africa, but when he died in 1993, everything changed. At the age of 17, she was forced to marry a much older man who already had three wives, and to undergo preparation for female genital mutilation without any painkillers or antibiotics. Days before the ritual was to take place, Fauziya's sister helped her escape to Germany, and from there she travelled to the United States seeking political asylum. When she arrived in the US she was stripped, shackled and imprisoned for 16 months by the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
Layli Miller Bashir, a second-year law student assigned to Fauziya's case, found a broken, emaciated girl who had been shuffled from prison to prison, was suffering from an untreated bleeding ulcer, had been subjected to several strip searches, and denied the right to follow her daily religious practices. She enlisted law professor, Karen Musalo, an expert in refugee law, who assembled a team to fight on Fauziya's behalf. Fauziya was finally granted asylum on 13 June 1996, a landmark decision. |
