Valencia 0-3 Real Mallorca
Copa del Rey finalists Valencia were caught cold by Mallorca as Spain striker Daniel Guiza was given time to score after a swift break in the 12th minute.
Defender Ivan Ramis curled in a free-kick to double the lead after 20 and Guiza stole in to head the third in the 57th.
Valencia have the joint worst home record in the league. ![](http://www.smileyhut.com/angry/fist.gif) |

Aragon閟 Linked To Valencia Return
Luis Aragon閟 could make a sensational return as coach of Valencia in the summer with the club weighing up their options should Ronald Koeman not stay at the helm.

galleria zoom The 69-year-old is due to leave his post in charge of the Spanish national team after Euro 2008 and has already stated that he is keen on a return to club football.
Valencia's new president, Agust韓 Morera, has reportedly drawn up a list of potential new coaches as he deliberates over whether Koeman can turn the club around.
With the Copa del Rey appearance approaching in two weeks, the Dutchman may well opt not stay beyond the summer after the pressurised campaign he has endured at Mestalla.
Aragon閟 would be a controversiol choice among the fans, but he is straight-talking and does not put up with star names being given special treatment in a dressing room that has suffered from enlarged egos this term.

Valencia players fed-up with Koeman criticism
tribalfootball.com - April 02, 2008

Valencia's players are becoming increasingly frustrated with the constant criticism coming from coach Ronald Koeman.
AS says the players are fed-up with Koeman continuing to duck personal responsibility for the team's dismal campaign and instead shifting all the blame onto them. The Dutchman's accusations of leaks coming from the dressing room has also angered the players. Koeman recently remarked: "This club cannot have a calm atmosphere when people are constantly leaking secrets from team meetings." Koeman also rapped: "If they look at their individual form, very few (players) can claim to have given a suitable contribution." Asked if he has lost the confidence of some players, the coach was adamant: "If they leave me, that's good, because I will be able to build a winning team without them. I need to make more drastic changes like I did with those three (David Albelda, Santiago Canizares and Miguel Angel Angulo) so I can improve this squad." |

Mata: Squad Is Behind Koeman
Valencia forward Juan Mata has insisted that coach Ronald Koeman does have the support of the squad as they go into their clash with Murcia on Sunday searching for three points to move themselves clear from the threat of relegation.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday afternoon, Mata confirmed that "the players are with Koeman", because they understand the importance of a "united" team if they are to win against Murcia and start a climb up the table in the remaining games of the season.
Mata insists that the players are calm despite currently sitting just six points clear of the drop zone and believes that they must seek to emulate the performances that have seen them defeat the 'big two' in recent weeks if they are to take the three points on Sunday.
"We go to Murcia in a calm state, but without falling asleep," he told the gathered press.
"We know that we are the same amount of points away from Europe as we are relegation, but we do not go into the game under pressure. We hope to perform in the same way we did against Real Madrid and Barcelona."
As the questioning drew to a close, Mata revealed that Koeman had been focusing on attacking set plays during training, as the club have not been getting enough goals from dead ball situations this season.
"The strategy is very important because we know that many goals can arrive from corners or free-kicks and we have so far not scored many from these situations, hence why we are working on it," he concluded.
