It has been reported that Lee Byung Hun and his wife Lee Min Jung have moved to a new home situated in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

Lee’s agency, BH Entertainment, revealed, “Their new home is closer to Lee Min Jung’s parents house. The two decided to move because of child-rearing and work reasons.”

It was also rumored that the couple’s new home was the old home of fellow celebrity couple of Jang Dong Gun and Ko So Young, but Lee Byung Hun’s agency has revealed that they were unaware of that.

Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung Move Into The Mansion Owned By Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young

BY Julie Jones | KDramaStars.com

When actor Jang Dong Gun and his wife actress Go So Young sold their Samseong-dong mansion, they sold it to another celebrity couple. Actor Lee Byung Hun and his wife Lee Min Jung will soon be moving into their old mansion.

Both couples made the move because they needed more space for their expanding families.

In April Jang Dong Gun and his wife purchased a $4 million luxury apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. The couple immediately began renovating it so it would fit the family's growing needs. Jang and Go have two young children. They have a five-year-old son and welcomed a daughter in February. Before moving to the Samseong-dong mansion in 2011, the couple owned a newlywed home in Huksong-dong neighborhood of Seoul. They purchased that home around the time they married in 2010.

Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung also recently welcomed an addition to their family. They had their first child, a son, on March 31.

Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung have been living in Gwangju, Gyeonggido, but now they will relocate to Samseong-dong, Seoul. Their new home is bigger and more conveniently located.

The Seoul location will make it easier for Lee Byung Hun to return home to visit his family. During the last year Lee Byung Hun has spent much of his time in the U.S., where he is working on several films. The sci-fi film 'Terminator Genysis" will be released in July. He is currently working on "Beyond Deceit" with Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino. He will also appear in a remake of the classic western "The Magnificent Seven," which is currently in pre-production.

The Gwangju house has reportedly been listed for sale since September 2014 and at the time that listing prompted rumors about the state of Lee Byung Hun's marriage to Lee Min Jung. The couple married in 2013.

A representative of Lee Byung Hun's agency, BH Entertainment, announced the couple's real estate transaction and presented their reasons for relocating.

"They moved in April and decided on the move for work and child-rearing related reasons," said the BH representative.

Another reason for the move may be that it brings Lee Min Jung closer to her parents. Lee's parents live in the Gangnam neighborhood of Seoul.

Lee Byung Hun shines as T-1000 in new 'Terminator Genisys' trailer

By Alvin KPOP Fighting

Paramount Pictures has recently released a new trailer for ‘Terminator Genisys,’ which features Korean actor Lee Byung Hun in several eye-catching action scenes as the unflinching killing machine, T-1000.

Lee Byung Hun plays the role of shape-shifting robot assassin T-1000, where he will battle Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) in the past. The action scenes that involved Lee Byung Hun as seen in the trailer were particularly thrilling, and the part where he is unharmed by bullets fired by Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) was simply stunning.

‘Terminator Genisys’ tells of two wars that happen concurrently. One happens in 2029 where John Connor, leader of the human resistance, leads the war against the machines (Skynet). Another takes place in 1984 where a battle takes place to save John Connor’s mother, Sarah Connor, from being killed by a Terminator that was sent back in time. The movie is the reboot to the ‘Terminator’ series, with two sequels set for 2017 and 2018.

The movie will star Jason Clarke, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Lee Byung Hun, and others.

The movie is directed by Alan Taylor who did the movie ‘Thor: The Dark World,’ as well as dramas like ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘The Sopranos.’ Writer Laeta Kalogridis who wrote the script for ‘Terminator Genisys,’ was previously involved with movies like ‘Avatar’ and ‘Shutter Island.’

In the movie, the lead characters will come face-to-face with the new T-3000 generation cyborg which can shape-shift and is said to be virtually indestructible from history. The special effects are said to be intricate, and will be mind-blowing.

‘Terminator Genisys’ will open in South Korean cinemas on July 2nd.

Magnificent Seven Remake Cast Star Studded and Racially Diversed; Aquaman Star Jason Momoa Turns Down Role Offer?

by Staff Writer Venture Capital Post

The upcoming Magnificent Seven remake of director Antoine Fuqua will have a diverse and star studded cast!

The Western classic of the 1960s Magnificent Seven will be brought back to the big screen with the help of the director of The Equalizer Antoine Fuqua. Fuqua brings as a Western classic with a racially diverse cast.

The Equalizer actor Denzel Washington will play the bounty hunter and head of the good guys, together with Guardians of the Galaxy actor Christ Pratt, Full Metal Jacket actor Vincent D'Onofrio, Before Trilogy actor Ethan Hawke, Elysium actor Wagner Moura and G.I. Joe: Retaliation's Byung-hun Lee.

On the other hand, one of the main bandits will be Peter Sarsgaard. In the beginning, former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa was in talks for a role as Peter Sarsgaard's sidekick in the remake buteventually declined the offer.

It is said Momoa declined the role because they didn't give him enough things to do and say in the movie. Though, the production denied it. Rumors have it that Momoa might have declined the role offer because of his role as Justice League's Aquaman.

Other cast members are Haley Bennett and Matt Bomer, which will play as a married couple in the movie.

The plot of the new film will be the same as the old one. It is about a woman who asks help from a bounty hunter to to protect their town with the bandits. The bounty hunter then hire other six gunslingers to help him out. Despite the fact that this movie is a remake of a movie of the same title, the 1960s movie is also actually just a reboot from another movie: Akira Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai.

Filming of the remake started last May. With a cast line up as amazing as this, everyone's already excited how this will turn out. Magnificent Seven will hit the big screen on January 13, 2017.

The latest Korean martial arts film starring Lee Byung-hun and 2PM’s Junho may pull forward its scheduled release date to August.

The movie, “Memories of the Sword,” was originally slated for release in the latter half of this year, but industry insiders on Tuesday said the film may be released at an earlier date in summer’s peak theatrical month of August.

2PM singer Junho, actors Lee Gyeong-young and Bae Soo-bin also play supporting roles.

Hollywood blockbusters sweep theaters

By Jason Bechervaise The Korea Times

The Korean film industry has demonstrated on numerous occasions that it's able to attract significantly large numbers into theaters. "Roaring Currents," for example, smashed records last year to become the most successful film in box office history attracting a whopping 17 million viewers. There's also a long list of local films that have taken the box office by storm. Indeed, for the past three years, admissions for Korean films have surpassed 100 million.

But foreign films, especially Hollywood features are having an increasingly palpable presence having surpassed 100 million admissions for the first time last year. According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) in 2011 there were 289 non-Korean films released, yet this number increased threefold in just three years. Last year, 885 foreign films hit screens. This includes a number of independent, arthouse titles that generally receive limited releases, but benefit from further exposure ahead of a video-on-demand (VOD) release, which continues to grow ― in fact, Internet Protocol television (IPTV) in Korea tripled in size in just four years with subscribers surpassing 10 million in August 2014.

However, in theaters, there's no denying the ever-burgeoning popularity of Hollywood films, in particular. Last year, Disney animation "Frozen" that was popular with families and children surpassed 10 million admissions as did Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar." The latter amassed more revenue in Korea that it did in Nolan's birthplace, the U.K., with $73 million in box office receipts. In terms of box office sales only China and North America outperformed Korea. The film's strong visuals, intelligent storytelling involving scientific elements seemed to resonate well with Korean audiences.

Also this year, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" became the first foreign film to enter the so-called coveted 10 million ticket club in 2015 following unprecedented interest ahead of the film's release due to the scenes shot in Seoul – a decision that indicates Hollywood is taking note.

"Mad Max: Fury Road" has also enjoyed tremendous success in Korea having surpassed 3.4 million admissions ($26.8m) to date accumulating more revenue than any other territory outside North America following strong word-of-mouth. Disaster epic "San Andreas" pulled in over 700,000 viewers last weekend despite ongoing fears of the MERS virus.

Looking ahead, franchises are to set further entice audiences into the multiplexes. Today (June 11), "Jurassic World" hits local screens. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, "Jurassic World" stars Chris Pratt ("Guardians of the Galaxy") it takes place twenty-two years after the events of "Jurassic Park" when a new attraction to lure visitors backfires. The film is currently topping the local reservation charts with more than a 70% share and while the third installment was a disappointment, nostalgia and the growing market for films suitable for families could result in strong box office returns.

In July, two bankable stars will grace screens. On July 2, "Terminator Genisys" starring Lee Byeong-hun in a supporting role as T-1000 will be released. Whether problems in his personal life will affect its box office performance remains to be seen, this is, however, a proven franchise. "Terminator Salvation sold over 4.5 million tickets in Korea in 2009. With James Cameron giving it his endorsement in a recent interview, and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to his iconic role as The Terminator, as he tries to stop "Judgement Day," it's poised to do strong business at the box office.

Then on July 30 Tom Cruise returns to his role as Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" directed by Christopher McQuarrie ― their fourth collaboration ("Jack Reacher"). Hunt's latest mission is to eliminate ― with the help of his team ― an international rogue organization set on destroying the IMF. Cruise's latest stunts include hanging onto a military transport aircraft as it takes off without the use of a stunt double.

Films featuring Cruise tend to perform well in Korea, especially the Mission Impossible series. Brad Bird's "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" attracted over 7.5 million viewers in 2011-12.

With its combination of stars and franchises that appeal to a wide demographic, including families, Hollywood films have found a solid fan base in Korea, while certain independent films have also attracted significant numbers. But as seen with films such as "Interstellar" and "Kingsman," even features that take bigger creative risks can result in substantial financial returns in Korea where strong word-of-mouth can drive a film's success through social networking and portal sites to such an extent, Hollywood is fast taking notice.

Rediscovery of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway – Line 9 Seonyudo Station Trip

Source: BNTnews

Recently in the past few years, Seonyudo Park has been a major attraction not just for locals but also tourists. The biggest reason behind this is that it was the background of popular KBS2 drama ‘Iris’ in 2009. At that time, this was the place where the characters Kim Hyeon Jun (Lee Byung Hun) and Kim Sun Hwa (Kim So Yeon) held a rendezvous. After the drama was aired, Seonyudo developed an ‘Iris’ filming locations tour, making its stance as a tourist attraction. (photo by KBS Homepage)
