Malaysia Airlines MH370: Satellite images show 122 objects scattered over 'debris field' Today new satellite images have shown 122 pieces of debris that could come from the wreckage of flight MH370. The objects are scattered over 250 square miles of the Southern Indian Ocean. Some were described as being “bright” – a possible indicator that they are solid material. The objects ranged in length from 3ft to 74ft. The area in which the objects were spotted some 1588 miles from Perth. The images were taken on March 23 by Airbus Defence and Space in France and forwarded to the Malaysian Remote Sensing Agency on the 25.
Speaking at a press conference this morning, Malaysia transport minister Hishammuddin Hussein said it was now imperative that the debris is linked to MH370 so the search area can be narrowed further.
