nak tanya macam mana terjadinya gigi jarang..
adakah disebabkan keturunan atau cara pemakanan yg tidak sihat..

gigi jarang terjadi mungkin sebab gigi kecik, rahang saiz biasa atau
gigi saiz biasa, rahang besar.

cara pemananan tak menyebabkan gigi jarang.

well, gigi jarang a.k.a spacing usually related to malocclusion...so it is a nice sometimes simple but sometimes quite complicated orthodontic cases. if it is involves with the sizes usually small tooth large jaw, it is hereditary...if the size if should be proportionate, yet spacing or gigi jarang still exist, it is habitual...beside orthodontic usually people will concern more to aesthetic...whatever it is the treatment of choice is depends on the severity of it...sometimes conservative camourflaging alone can solve the prob...orthodontic is also one of the treatment choice...yet it is still depends on the severity...about pemakanan, i used to read an article regarding this in an australian dental journal...the hypothesis is more about the development of jaws vs. food (solid, semi solid or fluid)...they postulated, recently more crowding or gigi tak tersusun berlaku sbb the development of jaws sometimes not as vast as the development of tooth (yet it is just a hypothesis)...due to the develoment of food tech...nowadays, to consume a food, consumer need not to chew a lot...so the development is quite slow...the australian scientist said...they'd taken their research to the next level...so eating habit vs. spacing no match...so far...
regarding dental implant, the procedure is not that complicated, sometimes it is easier than doing the minor oral surgery or extraction of impacted third molar...it is just a local anaesthetic procedure...yes, it is a two visits procedure, but the time span is two to six months depends on the recovery...to explain the procedure here, i think later...just for sharing knowledge with others...well sorry dr julai if i'm taking some of your limelight...adios amigos...just one thing, you're what you eat...think...salam

actually locked jaws happened not mainly due to muscle protective reflex it is usually due the condyle of mandible "derailed" from its pathway...so when it is not in the correct fossa, the masticating muscle / otot pengunyahan not functioning in the correct manner...therefore patient will sometimes having a very painful pain...so manual reduction need to be commenced...simple but sometimes tricky...well repeatition for those having it once, not scientifically proven...yet as dr julai said, prevention is better than cure...adios amigos...

tgkla kuning tu sebab apa.
kalau disebabkan . stain dari makanan/minuman/smoking then boleh la buang ngan scaling although tak digalakkan selalu
extrinsic staing can be removed thru microabrasive technique oleh dentists.
bleaching pun boleh dibuat untuk deeper staining yang terjadi dari chemichal and aging. Bleaching  lebih mahal sikit la.
nak try over the counter stain remover products boleh, tapi results dia terhad
actuallynya like i said before, scaling ni lebih kepada pembuangan karang gigi ( calculus) and bukan untuk membuang staining ke, polish gigi ke, putihkan gigi ke dll.
kalau gigi kuning disebabkan dentine gigi tu dah semulajadi kuning ( lebih kuning dari orang lain ) then there's not much w can do except accept it as it is.

Nak tanya sket, Budak kecil yang rosak giginye...cam tunggul kat depan dan ada juga lubang kat gigi geraham tu cam ne? Boleh cabut atau dia memang akan tercabut sendiri bila gigi baru tumbuh?Tq.

kalau budak2 kecik yang gigi depannya tinggal tunggul and tak boleh diselamatkan lagi (dah tak boleh ditampal) then cabutan bolehla dibuat sebab cabutan gigi susu di depan yang awal tak menjejaskan susunan gigi permenant dia nanti. Tapi benda ni kontroversial, sebab setegah doktor lebih prefer tak cabut kalau budak tu tak complain sakit.
Gigi susu belakang kalau rosak pulak and tak boleh ditampal lagi, se'ideal'nya dentist akan buat pulpotomy, iaitu doktor akan matikan saraf gigi tu ngan bahan khas and then buat tampalan. bear in mind, ggi susu yang depan( kalau ada lagi struktur dia and tak tinggal semata2 tunggul) pun boleh buat pulpotomy gak Gigi susu kat belakang tak digallakkan cabut sebab cabutan yang awal sangat ( belum tiba time nya nak luruh sendiri) , boleh menjejaskan susunan gigi permenantnya nanti.
tapi kalau gigi susu dia banyak sangat rosak and patient tu sendiri tak cooperative, mungkin pulpotomy tu susah sket nak buat.

Actually I baru jumpa thread ni.. so nak tanya sikit.. about 2 yrs ago, I pegi cabut one of the gigi geraham sebab gusi dia dah bernanah & kena keluarkan 2x.. so dentist propose suruh cabut.. what the dentist did not tell me (and I pun tak terpikir) was that after u cabut gigi tu basically u dah tak boleh mengunyah guna side gigi yg dah cabut tu (kanan) sebab takde lawan dia utk gigi geraham yg atas tu kunyah.. so for dentist2 in here, lain kali bgtau patients ok...

anyway I want to do something to be able to use that side of the mouth again.. now ni area tu kosong & gigi2 kat belah kanan cepat kumpul plak sebab tak digunakan.. every 6 mhts I pegi scaling the dentist kena spend time lebih utk bersihkan gigi belah kanan.. I believe gusi I semua in good condition.. what would u suggest ek doc?

sy ade visit dentist last 3 mths about implant..ape yg sy hairan dr tu kata it cost RM2500++(sebatang) tapi dlm satu thread tu kata cume RM200-300..so mana satu yg betul..or any other comments..tq

gigi saya sensitif.. dah pakai ubat gigi sensodyne pon masih sensitif lagi.. nak wat cane ni?? ada tak cara nak ilang kan gigi sensitif?? dulu2 gigi sy ni tak sensitif pun.. ntah macam mana leh jadi sensitif cani.. tak tau apa sebab nya.. help me pls???

Jumpa doktor gigi. Gigi anda sudah rosak. Bila kali terakhir anda jumpa doktor gigi? Bila kali terakhir gigi anda dicuci oleh Doktor gigi?

tiap2 tahun saya pegi cuci gigi lahh.. tiap kali pegi doktor cakap gigi saya ok je malah gigi saya jarang ada plak gigi... cuma gigi saya sensitif je.

dr julai xde.. dah lama aku tak nampak kat sini. meh aku tulun jawab ehhh..

// kalo berlubang besar & dalam, pernah sakit gigi yang amat pastu skang ni dah takde sakitnya (gigi dah tak vital / sihat) may be kene buat RCT (root canal treatment). biasanya kalo gigi tu dah buat RCT baru la kita buat crown.. sebab gigi yang dah dibuat RCT ni biasanya tak berapa kuat lagi.. sebab tu la buat crown supaya ianya lebih kuat, tak mudah pecah / patah.. ok? nak buat crown ni kene buat persediaan pada gigi dulu di mana ianya akan merosakkan sedikit struktur gigi.. sebab tu kalo lubang kecik, kita tampal je.. buat crown ni mahal le kalo banding ngan tampal tu. dlm RM 500 and above ada kot kalo kat private. tempat aku murah je.. dlm RM 130 - RM 200 kot.. kalo nak free (government servant) boleh , tapi lambat la..
