Chelsea: What a load of rubbish
Chelsea captain John Terry has launched a scathing attack on his teammates after Saturday's shock 3-1 loss to Wigan Athletic.
The London outfit had Petr Cech sent off in the second half as goals from Titus Bramble, Hugo Rodallega and Paul Scharner brought Carlo Ancelotti's proud 100% record to an abrupt end at the DW Stadium.
Not surprisingly, 'captain fantastic' Terry was far from happy with his side's disappointing display.
"The least we expect from every player is that we work hard and fight - and we did not do that," the England international is quoted as saying The Sun.
"We didn't win our headers and we didn't win our tackles - and that's simply not good enough.
"You can go anywhere and not play well. But when you come to places like this, you've got to match their work-rate.
"We didn't do that, the whole team. That's the most disappointing thing."
Manchester United's weekend win at Stoke saw Sir Alex Ferguson's men climb to the top of the Barclays Premier League, that result, as well as wins for rivals Liverpool and Arsenal, has only made Terry even more agitated.
"All the other big sides had emphatic wins, so it's even more disappointing we've thrown away three points."
Chelsea have a chance to put things right when they entertain Liverpool in a crucial clash on Sunday, but they will face the Merseyside giants without the suspended Cech.
There are also injury concerns surrounding both Ashley Cole and John Obi Mikel who have ankle and knee injuries respectively.
