LIVERPOOL: Fernando Torres merayu supaya Liverpool mendapatkan pemilik baru.
Penyerang kelab Kop itu berkata: “Hanya dengan kehadiran pemilik baru, kami akan menjadi kelab yang mampu bersaing.
“Kami bukanlah terlalu jauh ketinggalan. Kami mengharungi musim dengan baik tahun lalu dan tahun sebelumnya, hanya empat mata di belakang Manchester United.” Bercakap kepada stesen radio Sepanyol, Cadena Cope, Torres menambah: “Saya harap kami dapat mencari konsortium yang mampu membeli kelab ini dan menjadikan Liverpool setanding dengan Chelsea serta United dalam isu kewangan.
“Kemudian, lihatlah apa yang kami mampu lakukan musim ini. Kapten Liverpool, Steven Gerrard juga yakin kami masih sebuah kelab yang hebat.
“Memang mengecewakan apabila tidak beraksi di Liga Juara-Juara tetapi kami masih lagi antara kelab terhebat England dan beraksi di Anfield pada setiap minggu adalah satu penghormatan.
