According to an Korean insider article in order to clear Hae Soo of false charges, Wang Soo drinks poison of his own accord. Into the tea that Hae Soo is presenting to the Crown Prince, Queen Yoo secretly added poison. Wang So, who learns of this, drinks the poisoned tea in the Crown Prince’s place in order to keep Hae Soo from being falsely accused (of making an attempt on the Crown Prince’s life). After drinking the poisoned tea, Wang So tries hard to hold in his reaction while the poison begins to affect him for Hae Su’s sake, and begins to cough up blood only when he is completely alone before collapsing with a thud. If you combine the clips from the episode 10 preview and the long trailer in which HS runs towards him and is later surrounded by guards, you basically get this scene. “THE POISONED TEA INCIDENT MARKS THE TURNING POINT IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND HAE SOO’S LOVE FOR WANG SO IS COMPLETELY SOLIFIED.”
