Reds trial for Swedish youngster
Liverpool are to take 15-year-old Swedish midfielder Gustav Engvall on trial.
The Farjestaden starlet, who arrives in a few weeks, is highly rated in his homeland and has represented his country at Under 15 level. |

Reds scouts watch Norwich star
Liverpool are reportedly monitoring the progress of Norwich winger Anthony Pilkington and could make a move for him in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old has been an impressive performer for Norwich this season, contributing four goals in nine league starts since moving from Huddersfield, where he helped them into the playoff places.
And according to Footylatest.com, Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is aware of Pilkington's form and is having his scouts keep an eye on his form with the idea of making an official approach in the new year.
Blackpool-born Pilkington made one appearance of the Republic of Ireland's U21 side, but could still be considered for England if his scintillating form continues.
Norwich reportedly value Pilkington at ￡5million, which could prove to be a good piece of business should the Reds decide to firm up their interest with an offer. |

Reds linked with Italy star
Liverpool have been linked with a swoop for Fiorentina midfielder Ricardo Montolivo.
The Italy international is in demand as the January transfer window approaches, and with just six months remaining on his contract La Viola look set to accept a fee for his services.
A move within Serie A appears Montolivo's most likely course of action, with both AC Milan and Juventus keen on the 26-year-old.
However, there is significan interest outside Italy.
From Germany, giants Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on the playmaker's situation, while Ligue 1 side Paris St Germain have also been mooted as a potential destination.
In England, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a long-time fan of Montolivo, though Liverpool's interest is more recent.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish appears overstocked with midfield talent, but nevertheless, Liverpool are thought to be monitoring the Italian's transfer status.
For Fiorentina, an auction for the Azzurri star would be a favourable outcome. |
