Ben Foster insists he will not be fazed should the chance arise to earn his second England cap against Slovakia.
The Manchester United keeper has been drafted into Fabio Capello's squad as back up to first-choice keeper David James.
And with the Italian intent on using all six substitutes in the final warm-up before next Wednesday's key World Cup qualifier against Ukraine, there is a decent chance Foster might find himself involved at Wembley on Saturday.
Although in match terms the 25-year-old does not have much experience - he has not played a Premier League game since turning out for United in a win at Derby last season - he knows what it is like to appear on a major stage.
In 2006 he was part of the Watford side that reached the Premier League by beating Leeds in the Championship play-off final, and just under a year later made his England debut against Spain at Old Trafford.
And just under a month ago, he was crowned man of the match in United's Carling Cup shoot-out triumph over Tottenham on the Wembley turf he is hoping to grace this weekend.
"I really enjoy playing the big games," he said.
"The Championship play-off was a pretty big deal at the time and I did fairly well in that, as I did the Carling Cup Final.
"It is not something that fazes me. I don't feel the pressure or get nervous.
"It could be an FA Cup third-round tie away at a non-league ground. You still have to do the same things."
While Foster's presence in the England squad has been greeted with general queries as to his future at United, it could also be argued that being chosen by Capello might nudge Sir Alex Ferguson into giving the former Stoke keeper more frequent appearances.
One thing is for certain. While the keeper accepts he will not be a regular for England if he is merely a stand-in for United, he will not be banging Ferguson's door down demanding more chances given Edwin van der Sar posted a record 14 successive clean sheets earlier in the campaign.
"You can't really go knocking on the manager's door when the goalkeeper in front of you is doing that," said Foster.
"Edwin is one of the coolest, calmest goalkeepers I have ever met.
"He is very laid back and that calmness spreads through the team.
"You can see how comfortable the defenders are about giving him the ball at his feet."
