alright....its already 13th July 2008. a few weeks left untill d start of d new season. n i have to say, i am very2 delighted with how things are going with the gunners, apart from the usual transfer rumours.
so far we have captured players that i think will fill the holes that arsenal need to fill. first, we scooped Aaron Ramsey from the very noses of Man Utd (sape suh fergie xbawak ramsey naik jet...ngahahaha). i still dont 1really know what his best position is, but from what i've seen n in d fa cup final, he's a central midfield player. not a creative one though, but a sitting one. one similar to marcos senna. although marcos senna played as a deep lying defensive midfielder for spain in euro08, in villarreal he played a bit further up the field, adding a bit of creativity which is being provided by cani n pires (oh pires...). n of course, arsenal doesnt use a deep DM type of player like makelele for chelsea or mohamadou diarra for real madrid. these type of playes IMO rather not have the ball with them. they'd rather sit back n watch the game flows untill the opposition come to them. Wenger likes his players to be mobile n always moving like flamini, gattuso, barry, hargreaves etc. thats why arsenal are the fittest team in england (proven facts). even our least mobile player, gilberto, rakes at least 9km per match. so im thinking dat wenger's going to use his n arsenal's special weapon. the player template!!! as we have known dat wenger has templates for every position in the field. we have The Bergkamp template (van Persie), The Henry (Walcott), The Adams (Senderos), The Cole (Clichy,Traore) etc.. so IMO, i think Ramsey will be similar to Patrick Vieira. a DM with creativity n sheer physical presence in d middle of the park.
2nd signing, is the one we've been waiting for some time. Samir Nasri,21, finally arrived a few days ago. aku memang happy gile ah! i called my bro (MU fan) n he was like, damn la weh...pesal arsenal dapat die ni..power gile...we play FM,n his rating is very good. an attacking midfielder, his current best position is behind the strikers. from his statistics, i wud say his style is similar to hleb. he played more than 150 games for marseille but cud only score 11 goals. not really a good finisher it seems. n with wengerball not using a central attacking midfielder, i bet he will play in d wings, just like tomas n alex, drifting inside evrytime to attack. its not a good thing, i must say if we have too many similar players. we wud not be able to change n vary our play if we replace 1 player with another player who plays d same way. but, u never know, nasri cud probably be better on d wings than in d centre. he cud become a new pires rather than a new zidane!
so from my calculations, we now have 2 goalkeepers, 4 centre backs, 4 fullbacks, 2 defensive midfielders, 3 central midfielders, 3 attacking midfielders, 2 wingers/forwards, 1 centre forward n 3 strikers in our 1st team. i still think we need a classic style winger to add width to our play. someone like nani, reyes or badrol bakhtiar. so in my dreams, i wud sign either jesus navas or andres guardado. but then again, walcott n vela can play there. so that can be postponed for a while. BUT!! i wud like us to sign another centreback. a tall one! n since mertesacker have signed a new contract with bremen, i dunno who else is similar. zapata? kompany?
n hopefuly, fabianski will develope faster n he wud be able to replace almunia sooner, coz i still dun really believe almunia to be better than lehmann. but lets see next season eh?
anyhew...i really cant wait for next season to start. doesnt matter if ronaldo, lampard, drogba or barry goes, it will surely be better for arsenal!! yay!

Andrei Arshavin's agent claims the Russian star is "desperate" to join Arsenal.
The Zenit St Petersburg playmaker is expected to leave his current club before the close of the transfer window.

another doubt 'cause:
1. wenger has stated that he's in doubt that arshavin is a big game player
2. arsenal couldn't afford he's transfer fee that zenit demand
so tough luck guys
anyway maybe you guys should focus on seaching replacements for gilberto & flamini  |

kompany is hamburg's la....n wenger has been watching him for sometimes, but wenger xnak beli sebab die rase cb arsenal dah cukup.
veloso ni man utd pun xpernah nak beli sebenarnye...cube cari balik news/rumors yg lepas2, mane ade ejen die or die sniri cakap or sporting cakap pasal die nak g man utd..n veloso was linked with arsenal becoz he plays just like flamini..but for an arsenal fan, although a players price is high, dont get stunned when suddenly wenger bought a player at 20mil...if he thinks d players worth it, he'll go for it, n d arsenal board will always make sure wenger get what he wants...coz in arsene we trust. |

vincent kompany = tony adams??? ye ke? aku xde la tengok sangat die main, tapi dalam fifa n FM die ni memang highly rated. tapi kalo aku tengok in real match, aku rase die macam djourou. tengok match arsenal vs hamburg ucl 06/07, die ni aku tengok quite agile n likes to get forward. but then he leaves d defense open..he's still young, so he can improve. tapi kalo btul2 nak defender yang best i still think we shud get MERTESACKER!!!! impian...jadilah kenyataan!!! |
