Dah baca
A Mango-Shaped Space : by Wendy Mass
My review : actually buku ni utk teenagers. tapi very interesting. citer pasal sorg budak pompuan 13 tahun, yg ada condition called synesthesia - she sees everything in color, numbers, alphabets and even sound.. so it is hard for her lah nak adept ngan dunia luar. sampai cikgu/ mak bapak marah2 kat dia coz ingat dia main2. i really love this book coz interesting sangat, condition yg kita tak biasa dengar.. can u imagine u can see color in sound? cam best je kan. but the down side is, this girl susah sangat nak belajar coz since sound have color huruf A in english is different color than A in french. so dia confuse, jadi dia tension sangat nak belajar.
famous people like van gogh (if i am not mistaken), poets, musician pun suffer from this disease. |

Further under the duvet by Marian Keyes
Buku ni memang kelakar giler.. a compilation of short articles of her that appears in numerous magazine. she talks about her favourite topics like her love of make-up- she is a make up freak.., shoes, her family and serious subject such as her battle with alcoholism and her emotional charity trips. but the last chapter is quite boring.. memang sesuai for those who want to have a light reading material. |

The Nanny by Melissa Nathan
Twenty-three-year-old Jo Green knows that if she has to spend one more night in ultra-provincial Niblet-Upon-Avon she'll go completely bonkers! So she answers an ad in the paper, bids her devoted boyfriend Shaun adieu, and heads off to the big city. With a new job that offers excitement; a cool car; and her own suite with a TV, DVD player, and a cell phone, how can she go wrong?
Then she meets . . . the Fitzgeralds -- Dick and Vanessa and their unruly brood of rugrats who have suddenly been entrusted into Jo's care. There's eight-year-old "psycho-babe" Cassandra; bloodthirsty Zak, the six-year-old Terminator; and timid little Tallulah.
So what else could go wrong? How about the arrival of Dick's children from his first marriage: teenage Toby and (gulp!) all-grown-up-and-very-nicely-at-that Josh the accountant? And now that she has to temporarily share her room with Josh, Jo's head is really in a spin -- because with her hometown beau still in the picture and a sexy possibility sleeping just a foot away, life has suddenly gotten very complicated indeed!
- mula2 best gak.. but toward the end.. cam bored sikit |

i have just completed The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks...
to me, the overall story was quite interesting..
it revolves around Denise, a single mum who is struggling really hard to raise her son which has a speech problem. During a horrific storm, denise met an accident and hit a tree...while she was unconscious, her 4 year old son manage to unbuckle himself and was lost...Taylor, a volunteer fire fighter with the local fire department found denise and work with a team to search for Kyle thorughout the swampy area...
Taylor and Denise met up after the incident and mutual attraction sets in...taylor was like the guy that denise always wanted...he's caring and was very patient with Kyle..the little things that taylor did (taught kyle baseball, let kyle drive his truck, etc.) made denise fall more in love with taylor...however, there is something inside taylor that no one can reach out...
at the end of this book, i fell more in love with nicholas sparks writing..romance, family, friendship, a mother's love all in one book.... |

Baru habis baca buku The Gift of Rain oleh Tan Twan Eng. Hehe tertinggal kereta api aku ni.
A very powerful first novel by Mr Tan indeed, about the life of young Philip Hutton, an English-Chinese born into a wealthy British family living in Penang. Being a 'half-breed', as he often teased with at school, he felt neither English nor Chinese. Everything changed with the introduction of a Japanese diplomat into his life, who not only taught him the art of aikido, but also guided him to find the so called equilibrium of life. His sensei turned out to be a spy, putting him in a terrible moral dilemmas that will ultimately determined how he would live the rest of his life, to find the balance between his family and friends, and that of duty.
A good read for those who are willing to totally immerse yourselves into the world of Philip Hutton since it demands your unwavering attention to the plot.
