lexeme - the basic form of a word, without alteration for verb tense or other inflection.


Most words in dictionaries tend to be lexemes. Examples of lexeme forms are run, smile, give, boy, child, blond; whereas inflections of these lexemes include for example: runs/ran/running/runner, smiles/smiled/smiling/smiley, gave/giver/given, boys/boyish, children/childish, blonde/blondes/blonder.

lecturous (adjective) : tending or likely to lecture: being fond of giving educational narrative to an audience
The judge was lecturous when sentencing the young man for driving under the influence of alcohol

hermitous (adjective) : like a hermit : isolated by choice usually for religious reasons
The hermitous man shut himself in isolation.

kadult (noun) : a person who is technically an adult due to age but still acts like a child

monatophobia (noun) : the fear of dying alone

trajesty (noun) : a tragic travesty
Oh no! I forgot to order the special hot sauce! What a trajesty!

sonophobia (noun) : the abnormal or extreme fear of sounds
Her sonophobia prevented her from sleeping soundly in the new home, for she continued to lay awake listening to unfamiliar noises in the darkness.

I just found out that Addison and I are frousins.

novinophobia (noun) : the fear of running out of wine
I suffer from novinophobia and the only remedy is more wine!
