Anthony Loke: No decision on KL-Singapore High Speed Rail project yet
PUTRAJAYA: The Government has yet to make any decision on the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said that the Cabinet will have to review the project before making its final decision.
"There is no decision made (yet). Once a decision is made, the government and the Prime Minister will announce it," he said during a press conference here Wednesday (May 23).
He was asked to reveal the status of the project following the government's decision to abolish the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD).

On the MRT project, Loke said "some of the projects may be continued subject to review. Everything is subject to review."
"New government, new approach," he added.
Asked if there is any exact deadline, Loke said that the government would try to make the decision as soon as possible.
"How soon I cannot answer, because it takes time to look at the implications and so on. All these outstanding projects and issues are the top priority for this government," he said.

Singapore dah mula ambil bidding dari kontraktor2 utk design dan planning. HSR bahagian Singapore akan bermula 2019. Ini projek besar rantau ini.

Gamuda dan partner dan dpt HSR bahagian utara, YTL dan partner dah dpt HSR bahagian selatan. George Kent pegi gabung dgn Alstom Peranchis, Siemen Jerman, dan syarikat2 tren dari Italy dan Austria utk bid projek HSR. Jepun, Korea dan China juga nak join projek ini. Sebelum ini, China nak sponsor atau lead projek rail dari China sampai ke Singapore. Nasib baik tak jadi.

So, kerajaan baru akan review kos dan syarat2 supaya berpihak kpd Msia. Projek dgn Singapore i yakin skit. Tidak akan batal dan akan diteruskan. Mungkin kos akan diturunkan dan pekerja tempatan diutamakan. Serta transfer of knowledge itu penting.

Ada kemungkinan Jepun dpt join... Madey kan suka Jepun.
