Selena Gomez has revealed to Miley Cyrus in an interview that she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Gomez was interviewed by fellow Disney alumnus Cyrus as part of the latter's IGTV series,Bright Minded.

During the 20-minute segment on April 3, Cyrus and Gomez took the opportunity to reconnect, as the pair had not spent much time together since leaving Disney. As Cyrus asked how Gomez had been processing the Covid-19 pandemic, the conversation turned to mental health.

Gomez revealed that she had recently visited Massachusetts’ McLean Hospital, one of the leading mental health facilities in the United States. “After years of going through a lot of different things, I realised that I was bipolar, ” she said.

“I was equal parts terrified and relieved – terrified because the veil was lifted but relieved that I finally had the knowledge of why I had suffered with various depressions and anxieties for so many years.

“I never had full awareness or answers about this condition. When I have more information, it actually helps me, it doesn’t scare me once I know it," Gomez, 27 added.

Bright Mindedis Cyrus’ newest project, which she hopes will allow her and her guests to "use their influence and platform to bring optimism" to fans amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

In alignment with these goals, it appears that the show has provided a platform for Gomez to have a heartfelt conversation about her diagnosis.

Sebab comey la kena selamatkan diri dari dunia glemer yang merosakkan seblom jadik teruk sampai bunuh diri.

Tengok Jessica Alba, aman2 ja hidop bahagia jaga laki ngan family bila dah berenti berlakon padehal dolu boleh consider 'it girl' kot Jessica tu.

Ada laki pon tak guna if maintain meretis. Bukan takat Jessica, Hillary Duff pon aman2 ja hidop after fokus pada family, berenti dunia glemer, yang tak bagi life's fulfillment pon kat deyol selain fame and fortune.

Sheol kuat play victim juga bagi hakak. Dulu masa dengan JB, urang nampak salah JB jah padehal Selena ni pon gigih guna kesah cinta deyol huntok publisiti. Pangai gitu, susah kot laki nak tahan. Ala Taylor Swift.
