Selangor melaporkan kes harian baharu tertinggi iaitu sebanyak 932 kes (37.8 peratus). Daripada jumlah ini, sebanyak 579 kes (62.1 peratus) adalah daripada kluster-kluster dan saringan kontak rapat COVID-19 yang aktif dijalankan di lapangan. Ini diikuti oleh Johor sebanyak 428 kes (17.3 peratus) dan Perak sebanyak 308 kes (12.5 peratus).

Sebanyak 175 kes (7.1 peratus) yang dilaporkan pula adalah berkaitan kluster-kluster di penjara dan depot tahanan imigresen yang membabitkan Kluster Tembok Bendera (107 kes), Kluster Tembok Bukit Besi (36 kes), Kluster Tembok Pengkalan Chepa (19 kes), Kluster Penjara Jalan Harapan (9 kes), Kluster Penjara Seberang Perai (2 kes), Kluster Penjara Jalan Sungai Jelok (1 kes), dan Kluster Penjara Kepayan (1 kes).

Kes-kes kematian pada hari ini melibatkan 10 kes di Selangor, dua (2) kes di Sarawak, dan masing-masing satu (1) kes di  Johor dan Sabah. Sebanyak 13 kes kematian melibatkan warganegara dan satu (1) kes bukan warganegara. KKM mengucapkan takziah kepada semua ahli keluarga mereka.

MAKLUMAT TERKINI BERKAITAN KLUSTER-KLUSTER

Berikut adalah maklumat terkini berkaitan kluster-kluster di Malaysia sehingga 23 Februari 2021:

    Jumlah kluster : 1,095 kluster;
    Jumlah kluster baharu : 13 kluster;
    Jumlah kluster yang telah tamat : 586 kluster (termasuk lapan (8) kluster yang tamat pada hari ini iaitu Kluster Taman Kesedar, Kluster Jalan Manan, Kluster Bah Sayap, Kluster Dialisis Malim, Kluster Kampung Bukit Putera, Kluster Bersepadu, Kluster Kilang Setapak, dan Kluster Jalan Canang Emas);
    Jumlah kluster aktif : 509 kluster;
    Jumlah kluster dengan pertambahan kes baharu pada hari ini : 90 kluster; dan
    Kluster-kluster dengan pertambahan kes baharu tertinggi pada hari ini adalah Kluster Tapak Bina Digital Lapan (131 kes), Kluster Tembok Bendera (107 kes), dan Kluster Jalan Pelabuhan (95 kes).

Pergerakan 14 hari taburan kes COVID-19 mengikut daerah di Malaysia dari  10hb hingga 23hb Februari 2021. Langkawi, Padang Terap, Cameron Highlands, Setiu dan Lipis di semenanjung telah bertukar ke zon hijau.

14 kematian termasuk 1 bukan warganegara akibat jangkitan COVID-19 dilaporkan hari ini menjadikan jumlah kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia; 1,076.

KKM mengucapkan takziah kepada ahli keluarga mereka.

Covid-19: Number of active cases in M'sia decreased over 40% in the past two weeks, says Health Ministry

PUTRAJAYA: The number of active Covid-19 cases in the country has decreased by more than 40% since two weeks ago, says the Health Ministry.

Malaysia recorded 2,468 new infections and discharged 4,055 patients on Tuesday (Feb 23), which means that there are 30,475 active cases at present.

This is a contrast to the peak of 52,186 active cases recorded on Feb 10, with the number of active cases consistently declining since then.

Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah (pic) said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 23) that the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases is now at 288,229, while total recoveries are 256,678.

Currently, 196 patients are in intensive care, with 92 requiring ventilator support.

Selangor still registered the highest number of new infections with 932 cases, followed by Johor and Perak with 428 and 308 cases, respectively.

Fourteen more people died due to the coronavirus, pushing Malaysias Covid-19 death toll to 1,076.

Ten of the fatalities were in Selangor, two were in Sarawak and there was one death each in Johor and Sabah.

The individuals who died were aged between 30 to 77 years old, and most had comorbidities such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and chronic kidney diseases.
