Covid-19: Over 2,300 health workers infected, but none had severe symptoms, says Adham Baba

PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): A total of 2,341 fully-vaccinated healthcare personnel have been infected with Covid-19, but no one had severe symptoms.

"A total of 2,341 healthcare personnel became infected after being vaccinated, of which 778 people in category one, 1,559 in category two, two people in category three and four respectively – but none for category five.

"The advantage of vaccines is that these individuals do not reach category five and reduce severity and mortality. Vaccines protect healthcare personnel from severe infection," said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

He said a total of 9,392 healthcare workers had been infected with Covid-19 since the pandemic hit the country, involving 3,411 nurses and 1,229 medical officers.

Meanwhile, Health Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohd Shafiq Abdullah said the issue of funding applications from the private sector did not arise because the fundsprovided by the Finance Ministry were sufficient for the management of Covid-19.

A total of RM1bil has been spent to meet current needs and the MOH is currently discussing with the MOF for an additional RM1bil as part of preparations until this December, in the event that the number of cases continues to rise. – Bernama

virus masih boleh tersebar tapi kalau dorang positif tetap kena cuti dan kuarantin jua

Itu yg sebaiknya sebab vaksin bukan ubat dan bukan jaminan utk bebas ke sana ke mari tanpa mempedulikan SOP termasuk kuarantin selepas dijangkiti.

Yg dah inject kalu dpt covid amild simptoms saja macam flu.
Dan yg tak inject kalu terjangkit dari dah vaksin still boleh melarat ke pneumonia dan masok ICU.

Soster dkt subreddit coronavius bnyk berita psl di usa sana hampir keseluruhan yang mati adalahbyang x vaksin..dkt negeri maryland 100% mati adalah yang belum vaksin...so kalau babi yonyok tua nk blend ubat hanjeng dgn susu itu adalah masalah upbringing heshe yang problematic

Divaksin bukan bermakna diri akan menjadi kebal daripada serangan penyakit. Contohnya, sejak 10 thn terakhir, setiap tahun meols akan ambil flu jab. Dan hasilnya, dlm setahun, cuma 1-2 kali jer kena flu, itu pun sekadar 1-2 hari. Dah 10 tahun juga meols tak jumpa hingus pekat kaler kuning2 hijau tu. Itu kebaikan vaksin yg meols nampak.
Dan bila vaksin covid 19 ni keluar, meols galakkan ahli keluarga, extended family utk pergi dapatkan vaksin. Satu family sedara meols, siap announced satu family anti vaksin. Bila salah satu anak mereka kena covid 19, barulah gigih pakcik n makcik meols cucuk vaksin.

Ya kak tipah saya refer soalan saya tadi adakah yg divaksin boleh menjangkiti org lain. Meghan dah jawab soalan saya, dah vaksin tetap boleh jangkitkan virus pada org lain. The thing is... Cucuk vaksin atau tak ramai yg asymptomatic. Kadar kesembuhan pun tinggi. Selalunya kalau rujuk pada berita kematian akibat covid, yg melarat di ICU adalah mereka yg ada underlying diseases seperti penyakit tiga serangkai, obesiti dan lain2 penyakit kritikal. Jadi semuanya bergantung pada tindak balas imun badan masing2. Relevan lah juga yg high risk cucuk vaksin.

Ni yang DSN dulu ada post panjang2 pasal c19, vaksin - "akhirnya akan dianggap seperti flu" saja tapi antivx petik sekerat2 anggap c19 ni macam flu biasa saja, walaupun tak vaksin

ya ...

Saya cuma terfikir mereka yg complete 2 dos nak balik ke kampung jumpa parents yg tak divaksin atau belum complete vaksin... Vaksin tu sekadar utk melindungi diri mereka sendiri ja lol. Saudara mara mereka yg lain terdedah pada covid pula. Mungkin perlu ada SOP kuarantin ketat utk mereka yg nak merentas rentas ni sebab sama saja boleh jadi pembawa virus sama ada dah divaksin atau belum.
