Evidence of truthfulness in Ramayana Epic?

Source : http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20 ... rlyhumansstudyfinds

One of the main problem many people don't think Ramayana seriously is because of large Ape-like beings which featured in it which stands as tall as man, walked upright, and can use tools and even speak. Because of this, many take Ramayana as fairy tale.

Matter a fact, when Japanese animators animed Ramayana into a cartoon version (try E-bay if you interested), they made it look like that apes meant in Ramayana were small in size and looked regular.

But new evidence shows that over 1 million years ago, humans and this giant ape-like beings did live in peace side by side. Humans were hunter-gatherers and this Apes were vegetarians (Thank God for that).  Evidence seems to suggest that they lived up to 10,000 years ago, when Ice Age begins.

One more possible proof of truthfulness about Ramayana Epic :

Source : http://www.rootsweb.com/~lkawgw/adamsbridge.html

NASA found what appears to be a land bridge from South India to Sri Lanka. They debut the name Adam's Bridge by scientists ... (Adam's? <_< @#%@ Christians).

[Qoute]
The bridge磗 unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man made. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge磗 age is also almost equivalent.

This information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in tredha yuga (more than 1,700,000 years ago).
[/Qoute]

And in similar news - NASA officials did have this to say :

[Qoute]
"Remote sensing images or photographs from orbit cannot provide direct information about the origin or age of a chain of islands, and certainly cannot determine whether humans were involved in producing any of the patterns seen," said NASA official Mark Hess.
[/Qoute]

NASA image didn't provide possible origin or age or whether it is produced by Man, however, it did provide acceptance (indrectly) that the image was NOT a hoax and did came from their remote sensing image.

Gita Jayanthi is more like Nuzul Al Quran for Muslim, where Hindus celebrate the important of Bhavagad Gita.

Those who are interested in anticipating in this event, please come to Lakshimi-Narayan Temple, Taman Karupillai (not sure I got this correct or not), Jalan Ipoh, KL on Sunday, 11th December (THIS year) between 11.30 - 7.00 in the evening. Not sure about the fees (if there is one) though.

You can contact your local temple to find out. I see whether I can get the phone number or anything.

For more information about this celebration :

Recap ... anyone remembers what happened 10 years ago with Sri Ganesha drinking milk?

Yup, in 1995, there was a miracle in Malaysia (and world-wide) that Sri Ganesha had accepted Milk from devotees and many Hindus raced to offer milk to the Dewa. I was in Lower Six at that time.

Anyway, I found this link with a clip on someone taping the idol drinking milk. Love to see what Truth.8 have to say about this though. ;)

The SUN, dated - January 12, 2011

  Malay NGOs protest Interlok burning.

About 30 members of the NGOs comprising the National Writers Association of Malaysia (PENA),Federation of Malay Writers Associations (GAPENA), National Parent-Teacher Association (PIBGN), Selangor Cultural Council and Ikatan Melayu Asli Nusantara lodged the reports at the Dang Wangi District police headquarters at 3 PM.

Speaking to reporters, they expressed anger over the gathering of 100 people opposite of the Klang Muncipal Council building on Saturday, where the copies of the book Interlok was burned.

The book Interlok was written by Abdullah Hussain, a (so-called) national poet (but I have never heard of him before). He had touched the issue of Caste, and went to the extend of labelling EVERY Indian in Malaysia as "ariah".

Now, if this so-called National Poet have studied History, he could have known that during 1930s and 40s, the name used for the Untouchables were NOT Pariahs but "Harijans" (term used by Mohandas Gandhi ji which means Children of God - Hari). He did not bother to study properly and now, Indians have labelled him to be a rascist writer and burning his book.

Frankly speaking, the Indian committee didn't do anything wrong here by burning the book. As long as they brought the book by their own money, they have the rights to burn it and Indian children have the right whether to read it or not. We (Indian committee) do not have to entertain this nonsense of the book, it's so-called national poet writer or any associations whine about it.

To Hindus - FIGHT WELL.

The SUN, dated January 14th 2011

Kuala Lumpur : the Union of National Writers Association (GAPENA) will hold an assembly on Saturday to protest the politicizing of Interlok.

It's president Ismail Hussein said that the assembly is aimed at finding consensus and to support the text, which has been screened by the Education Ministry. Ismail is the brother of Abdullah Hussain, the author of the book.

On Wednesday, Najib Abdul Razak said a dialogue will be held between representative of the Indian community and Education Ministry to discuss the novel.

I have a few thoughts about this matter :

1. Ismail Hussain who is the brother of the Author should not be involved in this matters and IF he is a fair person, he should step aside and let someone else (in GAPENA) deal with it. This is NOT a family matter that two brothers needs to kiss each other's rear end in public.

2. Ismail Hussain stated that the book was screened by Education Ministry. Sounds like the Education Ministry (like many other Ministries) did not know how to screen a book to the extend that it could cause a race to be upset with it. The person who is in charge of this Ministry should be fired.

3. Najib's statement about a dialogue is not required. The Indian commitees have already expressed their opinions (by burning the book) about the book. A further sit-on-our-fat-a$$-and-talk routine is not required. ONLY ACTION - which is to remove the book from the selves.

Hypocrites at Work.

http://www.sify.com/news/hindu-r ... al-lcnuudaedic.html

Activists of Hindu Makkal Katchi, a regional party in Tamil Nadu, protested against the celebration of the Valentine's Day on Sunday, and warned locals to refrain from all celebrations in Coimbatore.

The party's activists were seen demonstrating by raising slogans and tearing Valentine's Day cards.

"We are protesting against the cultural exploitation because of Valentine's Day, which is being celebrated by lovers, who have engaged themselves in uncultured manner in public places in the name of Valentine's Day," Prabhu, a protestor, said.

"We strongly condemn this act and today, we are stating this protest by destroying these greeting cards," he added.

Some may say that Hinduism condemns Valentine's Day because of this sort of news. They should not be fooled because these actions are done by those who are from political parties and they have no interest in Hinduism except to use the religion to rope in supports of Hindus (especially in India).

Hinduism do not condemn NOR encourage the celebration of Valentine's Day. There is no restriction of any sort of celebrating other race's celebrations as long as it is done with good intention. Which means if Lovers choose to exchange gifts, cards and flowers, WHY NOT? Why must there be restrictions?

Furthermore, this hypocrites - the so-called Makkal Katchi are interested in promoting Hinduism, they should consider promoting it by taking on more serious matters. In every street corners and villages, there are thousands of liquor stores, many which were licensed by the local Government for easy money. Makkal Katchi - TAKE THOSE OUT IF EAGER TO PROMOTE HINDUISM.

As the Hindu population has grown in Queens over the last decade, so too has the amount of ritual debris — clothing, statues, even cremation ashes — lining the banks of the bay in Gateway National Recreation Area.

“We call it the Ganges,” one pilgrim, Madan Padarat, said as he finished his prayers. “She takes away your sickness, your pain, your suffering.”

But to the park rangers who patrol the beach, the holy waters are a fragile habitat, the offerings are trash and the littered shores are a federal preserve that must be kept clean for picnickers, fishermen and kayakers. Unlike the Ganges, they say, the enclosed bay does not sweep the refuse away.

The result is a standoff between two camps that regard the site as sacrosanct for very different reasons, and have spent years in a quiet tug of war between ancient traditions and modern regulations. Strenuous diplomacy on both sides has helped, but only to a point.

I don't see a problem here. The Authority should provide a small place by the lake side where the Hindus could perform their sacrifice, and at the same time, install nets just below the waterline. This way, when Hindus put the offering into the water, the heavy debris will sink down and get caught in the net while the lighter debris like the flowers and such will be washed away (and consumed by fishes). Once the rituals is over, the debris can be removed and disposed as it should be.

Also, local Hindu community leaders should play a role here. They should monitor the ceremonies and pay for the services rendered by the local authority in disposing the debris. This way, both side will be happy and there will be less impact in the Environment.

Source : http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/as_india_no_country_for_little_girls

By MUNEEZA NAQVI, Associated Press Muneeza Naqvi, Associated Press   – Wed May 4, 4:51 pm ET

MORENA, India – The room is large and airy, the stone floors clean and cool — a welcome respite from the afternoon sun. Until your eyes take in the horror that it holds. Ten severely malnourished children — nine of them girls.

The starving girls in this hospital ward include a 21-month-old with arms and legs the size of twigs and an emaciated 1-year-old with huge, vacant eyes. Without urgent medical care, most will not live to see their next birthday. They point to a painful reality revealed in India's most recent census: Despite a booming economy and big cities full of luxury cars and glittering malls, the country is failing its girls.

Early results show India has 914 girls under age 6 for every 1,000 boys. A decade ago, many were horrified when the ratio was 927 to 1,000.

Part of the reason Indians favor sons is the enormous expense inmarrying off girls. Families often go into debt arranging marriages andpaying elaborate dowries. A boy, on the other hand, will one day bringhome a bride and dowry. Hindu custom also dictates that only sons canlight their parents' funeral pyres.

But it'snot simply that girls are more expensive for impoverished families. Thecensus data shows that the worst offenders are the relatively wealthynorthern states of Punjab and Haryana.

Even the government has accepted that it has failed to save millions of little girls.

"Whatevermeasures that have been put in over the last 40 years have not had anyimpact," India's Home Secretary G.K. Pillai said last month whenannouncing the census numbers. In Morena's homes, villages, schools and hospitals lie some of the answers to why the country keeps losing girls.

SAD ...

Ignorance is thick in India. In Hindu custom, it is true that men are the ones who does the final ritual BECAUSE women are emotionally unbalance and would be unable to do the rituals properly in order to send the death. There is a logical reasons for this. However, I do not remember that having males to do this ritual is a MUST in Hindu culture. Females can do it as well, if they could keep their tears aside till the rituals is over.

I believe this problem is more toward the financial matters than rituals or Hinduism. Dowry, which (if not mistaken) is banned from practicing in India is still been practise like an unwritten agreement between two families. if I'm not mistaken, those who take or give dowry can be charged in court, yet I don't remember any case regarding this.

Anyway, it is sad that this practise is happening in India (among other places). In Hinduism, there are as many Goddesses as they are Gods YET female children are left to die.

Source : http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110 ... _pakistan_bin_laden

By CHRIS BRUMMITT, Associated Press Chris Brummitt, Associated Press   – Thu May 5, 4:23 pm ET

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan's army broke its silence Thursday over the U.S. commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden, acknowledging its own "shortcomings" in efforts to find the al-Qaida leader but threatening to review cooperation with Washington if there is another similar violation of Pakistani sovereignty.

The tough-sounding statement was a sign of the anger in the army. It also appeared aimed at appeasing politicians, the public and the media in the country over what's viewed by many here as a national humiliation delivered by a deeply unpopular America.

While international concerns are centered on suspicions that elements of the security forces sheltered bin Laden, most Pakistanis seem more upset that uninvited American soldiers flew into the country, landed on the ground and launched an attack on a house — and that the army was unaware and unable to stop them. That it happened in an army town, next door to a military academy and close to the capital has added to the embarrassment.

Ties between the two countries were already strained before the raid because of American allegations that Islamabad was failing to crack down on Afghan Taliban factions sheltering on Pakistani soil. Pakistan was angered over stepped-up U.S. drone strikes and the case of Raymond Davis, a CIA contractor who killed two Pakistanis in January.

It seems that many in Pakistan is still sore about losing their hero - Osama bin Laden.

They thought they could fool the World (and the USA) by hiding him in Pakistan and claiming he is in Afghanistan (and leading the US in a wild goose chase). In a way, the Mumbai Raid could have been the tipping point for this. Talibans were able to cross over to India to Mumbai easily in 2008 and pull the raid easily and that cannot be done without the aid of neighbouring Pakistan. Maybe the US have become suspicious about Pakistan from that moment onward.

Right now, I continue to monitor the progress of the Second Freedom Struggle have started in India. The first one started in 1850s and last till 1948 when India finally become Independent from British. However, many of the problems continued from there because India politicians choose to make India into a secular nation, pushing away the traditions and culture and labeling those who follow these methods as "conservatives". Now, the Second Freedom Struggle began and I hope this will lead to a revolution where India regain her former status, tradition and culture and become the nation of Hinduism once again.

God save the Freedom Fighters.

I don't know how Indians here in Malaysia can help, but maybe sending a letter of support to Anna Hazare and those who fights with him (through Indian embassy) could be a good way to show the (Indian) community's support.

"The second freedom struggle has started ... This is a fight for change. Unless there is no change, there is no freedom, there is no actual democracy, there is no true republic, there is no true people's rule" - Anna Hazare

Anna Hazare wins, Parliament passes resolution on Lokpal Bill
TNN Aug 27, 2011, 08.42pm IST

NEW DELHI: Both Houses of Parliament on Saturday passed a resolution conveying the sense of the House on the Lokpal Bill, paving the way for Anna Hazare to break his fast. On a motion moved by Pranab Mukherjee, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed a resolution conveying the sense of the House on the Lokpal Bill. After the passage of the resolution, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the Lok Sabha till Monday.

Some of the important points of the Lokpal resolution passed by Parliament are:

*An effective Lokpal at the Centre and Lokayuktas in states be set up.

*Employees of centre and state governments to be brought under purview of Lokpal and Lokayuktas respectively.

*All government departments to have citizen's charter with timeline.

Finally, a good news. This shows that Mahatma Gandhi's way still works in India in managing to push the Government in the right way. Even if there are hundreds of corrupted politicians and thousands of corrupted civil servants, they cannot possibly stand against millions of regular people once they come together.

The passing of Lokpal will allow the regular people to monitor the politicians and civil servants more effectively, and hopefully, bring the corruption and bribery to a control.

Don't make mistake. Passing of the Lokpal is just the beginning ... the true fight to make India into a great country have just started. People have to fight the corrupted politicians and replace them with good ones. Once they have done that, the people have correct the corrupted civil servants who have been used to taking bribe and not performing their tasks well. Once that is done, they still have to do something about the terrorists within their country as well as in Pakistan and Kashmir (nukes could help ).

This is the beginning and I hope before I die, I could see India as it was thousands of years ago. God save the Freedom Fighters.

Dear tech industry workers, I urge you to oppose the bill.

Oppose it because it seeks to force you to limit and narrowly define the scope of your talents.

Oppose it because the government is effectively trying to decide what you can or cannot work on and who you can work with.

Oppose it because unnecessary regulation like this will cripple, not enhance the already challenged industry.

Oppose it because this is a poorly thought out, badly put-together piece of bullcrap.

I for one WILL NOT follow this idiotic laws even if it comes into practice. WHO the HELL are these people to determine what IT capability I have? :@

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 — Key opposition leaders, including Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, are in cahoots with the US to overthrow the Barisan Nasional (BN) government, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad claims.

The former prime minister alleged his one-time protégé was getting support from Washington via a pro-Zionist non-governmental outfit formed by American neoconservatives to remove unfriendly governments.

Dr Mahathir cited Anwar’s close friendship with leading neoconservative Paul Wolfowitz as proof of his claim, adding that members of the Bar Council were also involved in the alleged conspiracy.

Dr Mahathir added that he was confident Putrajaya would take appropriate steps against those involved once the government obtained sufficient evidence of wrongdoing.

“Without proof, we cannot simply act or use our powers to arrest people. Once there is clear proof, I’m sure the government will act,” he said.

The untouchable Mahathir continues to show that he have become senile in his old age.

We all know that the only reason this senile old man speaking out of term against others (including the Bar Council) is because he knows that his Tun title makes him equal to Yang Di Pertuan Agong and the Sultans (untouchable by Laws). which means he can slander, lie and make whatever claims that he can - WITHOUT A SINGLE SHRED OF PROOF which he admits (underlined words) does not have and can get away with it.

I suggest to the Bar Council to partition to the Yang Di pertuan Agong for the sake of Malaysia's unity to have his (Tun) title removed, because it is obvious that the BN is using him as a spoke person to throw whatever claims they want to ANYONE they want and get away with it.

And Mahathir Mohammad - You should be ashamed of yourself. Your previous predecessors were not highly educated as you but they had common sense. Once they retire from politics, they do not interfere with the political situation and allow the political parties and the people handle the situations as they saw fit.

Source : http://my.news.yahoo.com/apabila ... reka-013119195.html

In the end, it all boils down to two main questions :-

To B.N - Are you capable of give the Changes which the People (and not your own miseable party members) want or not?

Since losing the 2/3 majority in 2008 General Election, the B.N have been under great pressure to change the way they were doing things in Malaysia. B.N Government are full with corruptive practises as well as incompetent party members who were incapable of providing the changes which the People hunger for. Some could even state openly that it is impossible to give what the People want - as if they are telling the People that the People will not get what they wish out of their Government and can end up like Greece of Asia. To this people - THEN WHAT HELL DO WE NEED YOU FOR?

To B.N Party - IF you cannot deliver the positive change we (the People) seeking, there is NO USE for you to be re-elected in the next general election. A party which cannot do anything useful to those who have elected it is USELESS.

To PKR and the new Coaliation :- Are you serious about getting Malaysia back into it's proper shape or are you just here to waste our time?

Right now, I'm not very impressed with the performance which PKR, DAP and PAS had done. I could identify a few problems which they have to address if they are to rule properly.

1. Their economic plan is like shit.

The People are willing to sacrifice for their Government in form of taking the burden of living for another 5 years or so, BUT ONLY if it means that the Government is capable of improving the Economic. Which means that the New Government must kick out the parasites (in form of Bangladesh, Pakistani and Indons) who are living in the country and sucking out of the financial resource in name of providing services. So far, the New Coalitions' economic plans are not to anyone's satisfactions.

2. There are still visible cracks within the Coalitions. PAS seems to be held bend on Hudud (a stupid concept if you ask me), DAP more toward giving more Chinese people power (which they are incapable of doing anything positive other than make more money to stuff their faces with) and PKR seems to be overshadowed by Anuar Ibrahim's strong desire to rule (instead of fullfilling the People's need for a new government).

3. The New Coalitions could end up losing some of the state as it had with Perak and almost done with Selangor after 2008 Election - IF it does not identify "traitors" within its own midst before the next Election.

Normally, when I read a news online or on paper, I couldn't get emotional about it and derive a logical deduction on what they are saying. However, the news which I have read on the article (pasted below) had really pissed me this morning. WHO THE HELL DOES THE WRITER THINK HE IS? He should have wrote his name instead of hiding away.

Source : http://my.news.yahoo.com/racist-in-translation-001427115.html

Now we all know the official language of the country is Bahasa Malaysia. As such, I personally object to any discussion of a formal kind on television in a third language that then makes it exclusive only to one group of people.

The future of the Chinese community is not determined by the Chinese alone, not in this country. The future of any race in Malaysia is dependent on all races, all religions and all sexual orientations and genders.

First of all, please get through that thick little head of yours that Future of Chinese Community and Indian Community are determined by their respective community members. Chinese do not determine Indian race's future nor vice versa. Malays DO NOT DETERMINE ANY OTHER RACE'S FATE. FULL STOP.

Let me be frank, and this is more specifically for the Chinese and the Indian Malaysians: If you insist on wanting a united Malaysia regardless of race, then either you stop speaking your native tongue if there is someone else present, or you translate it to them so that they can venture forth an opinion. Take your pick.

Secondly, there is a third option - for Non-Chinese and Non-Indians (Malays here) to LEARN other race's language instead of whining about it.

I don't understand why this writer being a retard. Ask any Chinese and Indian person and they will inform you that most of them have at least three language which they can speak and write - namely their own mother tongue, English and Bahasa Malaysia. Even older generation have at least two language which they can converse in. It is not hard to understand that in the future, many will be like me - who could have more than four languages which they can converse easily. So why the f%$k can't these Malays go and learn other race's language instead of whining like a dog who's tail got caught between the door?

Malays - Please understand ONE SIMPLE FACT - Non-Malays really don't give $hit whether you understand or not. It is NOT our problem.
