A-yo Nick. The Balfour Declaration, preamble or not, was a "means of convenience"obviously a well-cloaked exit strategy of getting all Jews out of Europe. Nobody wanted a stake nor a share in the Jewish disporia or the yearn for a Jewish state. That was why the Europeans was adamant of holding onto Biblical text as an excuse to wedge a future Israel in the Middle-East. Two reasons only. The first to ensure the Jewish disporia does not metaphor in their backyard. Secondly, the British, already well-known for creating or importing ethnic-displacement in all countries of conquest in the British Empire, see the creating of a Jewish state within Palestine and in the Middle-East, as a very important and needed "check and balance tool", created and meant to keep the Arabs and Islam from ever evolving into strong alliances or formidable military or political entities like the Ottoman experience.

However on a softer note, Fuzzman believes that all Jews and Arabs alike can find resolve and peaceful cohesion as shown examplar in the link below:-

Anti-war Tel Aviv rally draws Jewish, Israeli Arab crowd
By Lily Galili, Haaretz Correspondent

More than 2,500 people on Saturday attended a demonstration against the war in Lebanon, marching from Tel Aviv's Rabin Square to a rally at the Cinemateque plaza.

The rally was the first of its kind protesting against the IDF's offensive in Lebanon. Unlike previous anti-war protests in israel, major Arab organizations in Israel - among them Hadash and Balad -participated in the event in large numbers.

They were joined by the left flank of the Zionist Left -former Meretz leader Shulamit Aloni and Prof. Galia Golan, alongside the radical left of Gush Shalom, the refusal to serve movement Yesh Gvul, Anarchists Against the Wall, Coalition of Women for Peace, Taayush and others.

Do the needful Nick and respond when able. I would not hold it against you if you're too busy ducking Katyushas or toeing the line for "Order 8s" - immediate emergency call-up orders for IDF reservists.
