Bringing pleasure to God is called worshipWorship is far more than musicworship is not for your benefit- its for Godworship is not part of your life, its your life
-every activity can be transformed into an act of worship when you do it for the praise, glory, and pleasure of God
-the secret of lifestyle of worship is-doing everything as if you were doing it for Jesus
-work becomes worship when you dedicated it to God and perform it with awareness of his presence
- falling in love with Jesus is a real worship |

Day 9-What Makes God Smile?
When we love Him supremely
-"love the lord with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind"When we trust Him completely
-having faith that He knows what is best for your life
-you expect Him to keep His promises, help you with problems and do the impossible when necessary
-"He take pleasure in those that honor Him; in those who trust in His constant love"When we obey Him wholeheartedly
-"if you love Me, you will obey my commandments"When we praise and thank Him Continually
-"I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This will please the Lord"When we use our abilities
-there are no unspiritual abilities, just misused ones. Start using yours for God's pleasure |

Day 10-The heart of worship
The heart of worship is surrender.
- "Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for Him."
- True worship - bringing God pleasure - happens when we give ourselves completely to God.
- The act of personal urrender is called many things: consecration, making Jesus your Lord, taking up your cross, dying to self, yielding to the Spirit.
3 things that block our total surrender to God: fear, pride & confusion.
What it means to surrender?
- It is not passive resignation, fatalism or an excuse for laziness
- It is sacriifcing our life or suffering in order to change what needs to be changed.
- Surrendering is best demonstrated in obedience. (ie, saying Yes, Lord, to whatever He asks of us).
- we let go and let God work.
The blessings of surrender: we experience peace, freedom & God's power in our lives.
Everybody eventually surrenders to something or someone. If we don't surrender to God, we surrender to chaos.
Surrendering is not the best way to live. It is the ONLY way to live! |

Day 11-Becoming Best Friends with God
I) through constant conversation
-friendship with God is built through sharing all you life experience with Him
-conversing with God while shopping, driving, working or performing any other everyday tasks
-you can develop a constant conversation with God by;
a) practicing the presence of god
-training you mind to remember God
b) pray shorter conversational prayers continually
?hoose a brief sentence/simple phrase in just one breath: "you are with me"; "im depending on you"; "help me to trust you"
II) through continual meditation
-thinking about His Word throughout your day
-recalling verses you have read, or memorized and mulling them over in you mind

Day 12-Developing your Friendship with God
I) I must choose to be honest with God
-sharing your true feeling
-expressing your doubt
-releasing your resentment
-revealing your true feeling
II) I must choose to obey God in faith
-obedience bring great joy
-simple act of our obedience more than our prayers, praise and offerings
-our obedience pleases God more than any sacrifices or offerings
III) I must choose to value that God values
-value the friendship with God by sharing the ?ood News? with others
- care about all the people around you
- friends of god must tell their friends about God
IV) I must desire friendship with God more than anything else
-passionately desired to know God
-you are close to God if you choose to be
-start asking God to reignite you passion for him, keep on asking until you have it |

Day 13- Worship That Pleases God
-God wants all of you. All your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength
I) Accurate Worship
-worship must be based on truth of scripture, not our opinion about God
-worship in truth means to worship God as he is truly revealed in the Bible
II) Authentic Worship
-worship is your spirit responding to God's spirit
-worship must be genuine and heartfelt, deeply emotional and deeply doctrinal
-the best style of worship is the one that most authentically represents your love for God
III) Thoughtful worship
-you must engage your mind
-real worship is rooted in the word
IV) Practical Worship
-offer your body as living sacrifices
-God wants you to live for him
-worship take effort and energy and cost our self-centeredness |

Day 14 - When God Seems Distant
-God is real no matter how you feel
-God more concerned that you trust him than that you feel his presence
I) Tell God exactly how you feel
-admitting your hopelessness
II) Focus on who God is-his unchanging nature
-Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light
III) Trust God to keep his promise
-"I will never leave you; I will never abandon you"(Hebrew 13:5)
IV) Remember what God already done for you
-Jesus died for you! |

Day 15-Formed for God Family
-"you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus"(Galatians 3:26, NLT)
-Benefits of being God's family
I) we will get to be with God forever
II)we will completely change to be like Christ
III) we will be freed from all pain, death ad suffering
IV)we will be rewarded and reassigned positions of services
V)we will get to share in Christ's glory
-Baptism shows you are part of God's family
-you baptism declares your faith, shares Christ's burial and resurrection
-being included in God's family is the highest honor and the great privilege you will ever receive

Day 16-What Matters Most
-life is all about love
-our love for each other-not our doctrinal believe is our greatest witness to the world
The best use of life is love
-love is the most important part because;
I) life without love is worthless ? the point of life is learning to love God & people
II) Love will last forever ? love leaves a legacy, its not what you do, but how much love you put into it that matters
III) We will be evaluated on our love ? God will review how you treated other people, particularly those in need.
The best expression of love is time
-the greatest gift you can give someone is your time
-the essence of love is how much we give of ourself, not what we think or do or provide for others
The best time to love is now
-because you dont know how long you will have the opportunity. Circumstance change. People die. You have no guarantee of tomorrow |

Day 17 - A place to belong
-You are called to belong, not just believe
-we discover our role in life through our relationship with others
-the church will outlive this universe, and so will your roll in it
Why you need a church family
I) A church family identify you as genuine believer
II) A church family moves you out of self-centered isolation
III) A church family helps you develop spiritual muscle
IV) The body of Christ need you
V) You will share in Christ抯 mission in the world
VI) A church family will help keep you from backsliding
Worship helps you focus on god; fellowship helps you face life's problem;
Discipleship helps fortify your faith; ministry helps find you talents; evangelism helps fulfill your mission |

Day 18 - Experiencing Life Together
- Life is meant to be shared
- Real fellowship happens when people get honest about who they are and what is happening in their lives.
- Everytime you understand and affirm someonw's feelings, you build fellowship
What is the difference between real and fake fellowship?
a) In real fellowship people exprience authenticity
b) In real fellowship people exprience mutuality
c) In real fellowship people exprience sympathy
d) In real fellowship people exprience mercy
- Forgiveness must be immediate, whether or not a person asks for it. Trust must be rebuilt over time. Trust requires a track record. If someone hurts you repeatedly, you are commanded by God to forgive them instantly, but you are not expected to trust them immediately, and you are not expected to continue allowing them to hurt you. |
