Freehold vs Leasehold

Basically aku tahu apa maksud freehold nih.. tapi aku betul2 nak tahu pasal leasehold, let say kalau tempoh leasehold tu dah habis.. kita stilll boleh extend depends on the state government approvement kan? ke macam mana ek??
