Firefox bookmarks missing - reward +300 credits pada yang selesaikan prob

Masalah: Tiba tiba page stuck - lepas tu saya restart computer.

Bila buka Firefox dpt message - samada nak pakai default or pakai setting lama.

Saya click old setting.

Bila check my [Bookmarks] Bling!!!!!!! semua bookmark lama dah hilang.


Dulu pernah jadi mcm ini - tak ingat apa yang saya buat tapi akhirnya bookmarks tu saya dpt cari balik. Sekarang malas nak fikir bagi you all sahaja yang settle kan prob ini.

Bukak Firefox:

1. Kat menu, pilih BOOKMARKS>ORGANISE BOOKMARKS - this will bukak BOOKMARKS MANAGER window.
2. Kat Bookmark Manager nyer menu, pilih FILE>IMPORT
3. Pilih FROM FILE
4. Navigate ke bookmarkbackups folder ko - \Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\bookmarkbackups

dah jumpa, copy paste bookmarks tu ke desktop..

buka Firefox dan import macam post 0001.

it is very important to backup your firefox bookmark..

go to bookmark-->organize bookmark-->go to file-->export...

hahaha..memang tak menjawab pon soalan, hehehe..tak mau kalah punya pasal

try import bookmark dari ie, opera.... atau..

    *  In Firefox 1.5 and above, five daily bookmark backup files are saved in the bookmarkbackups folder, located in the Firefox profile folder. Important: You must recover one of these five backups before they are overwritten by newer versions.

    * Firefox and Mozilla Suite store bookmarks in file "bookmarks.html", located in the profile folder. There is also a "bookmarks.html" file in the program folder, but this one is only a template and does not hold your bookmarks.

To make sure you have the right file, you can open the bookmarks.html file or any bookmark backup file using "File -> Open File" from the Firefox or Mozilla Suite menu to review the contents (see this article for details).

To find all bookmarks files anywhere on your computer, you can use your operating system抯 file and folder search feature to locate find bookmarks* (be sure to include the asterisk, with no space). Windows users: Read the information here, as the profile folder containing your stored bookmarks is hidden by default.

To find a backup file with your browser:

• From a browser window, select File -> Open.  Then navigate to the "bookmarksbackup" folder in the profile folder and open a file.Windows 2000 and XP users can navigate to the bookmarksbackupfolder entering "%APPDATA%" for the file name, then go to theMozilla\Firefox\Profiles folder, then xxxxxxxx.default (where xxxxxxx is any sequence of numbers and characters), then the bookmarkbackups folder.
• When you find the correct backup file, save it to the desktop or a location of your choice, for safekeeping.
• To import the file:
  • into Firefox: "Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks" or"Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks". From the Bookmarks Manager select"File -> Import... -> From File.
  • into Mozilla Suite: "Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks... -> Tools -> Import...".

Then navigate to the file you just chose and import it.Advanced method: You can instead rename the backup file"bookmarks.html", and use it to replace the incorrect file in your profile folder.

mesti settle nye masalah nie..
kan byk free web browser..
download then install properly..

cth: opera, avant, safari, netscape, etc la..

Masalahnya kak dar sekarang , Bookmarks yang ada dalam
Firefox tu, bukan masalah Browser.

knp xcakap awal2...

tu la, baik buat backup utk bookmarks yg sedia ada..
cthnya gna Bookmarks Manager utk wat backup..
senang utk masa dpn...recovery planning..

aku x malu kalo nk mengaku yg aku salah..

try check permission pada fail bookmarks.html. kadang dia default to read only. jadi bila kita exit firefox akan save bookmark tu dalam bookmarkbackups folder. bila run balik firefox akan guna bookmark lama.

Wow!!! banyak nya jwpan!! Nanti saya test satu satu. Nanti akak Dar bagi credits kpd pemenang juga sagu hati kpd yang cuba menyeleesaikan masalah ini.

Oh kena buat backup first ek. Patutlah tak boleh guna 0001 punya tips --

Tu your latest accessed folder from within Firefox. Buat camni:

1. Kat column kiri tu, click MY COMPUTER (icon computer & monitor tu).
2. Then select C: Drive
3. Then click DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS
4. Then click folder yang titled your username
5. Dan seterusnya sampai jumpa folder BOOKMARKBACKUPS... click it
6. Dalam folder tu bookmarks tu semua dated... pilih yang appropriate date.

*Kengkadang on some systems, lepas masuk PROFILES folder will not have the BOOKMARKBACKUPS folder tapi will have some other folder... just click on that folder and BOOKMARKBACKUPS folder will ada dalam tu.

Nope...takyah buat backup first... Firefox memang buat autobackups.

Ok yang ni semua berjaya ikut step by step

5. Dan seterusnya sampai jumpa folder BOOKMARKBACKUPS... click it
6. Dalam folder tu bookmarks tu semua dated... pilih yang appropriate date.

Sangkut lagi .. gambar. Saya click [favorites] tapi yang tu belongs to Explorer. Yang ada gambar firefox tu pulak bookmarks list tak sama mcm bookmarks list yang hilang dua hari lepas.

Aaa... ok... folder APPLICATION DATA tu hidden. Hehe... macam2 problem, huh? Takpe dont worry...

Buat camni to nampakkan hidden folders tu:

1. Bukak MY COMPUTER.
1. Kat menu... TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Now you can sambung your quest to get the old bookmarks.
