Is SnapDetect.exe a Virus/Malware?

Hey guyz..

I just installed this malware scanner and it checked my SnapDetect.exe as a bad malicious program.

When I googled 'SnapDetect.exe', people say that it is important for WebCam. I do have a WebCam. But, since the provider of this application didnt provide info on their product, SnapDetect.exe has been ranked for being 77% dangerous to Windows system. Also, people say that SnapDetect.exe slows down pc performance during startup, and when they removed this application, their pc performance boost.

Now, does anybody have info on this app? If I remove this app, can I use my webcam again? Is it a virus/malware as claimed?

1. cuba rename atau pindahkan file tu...kalau webcam tak boleh pakai...maknanya memang file tu diguna oleh webcam..

2. cuba detect samada file ni cuba connect ke internet....boleh cuba urlhelper...kalau cuba connect ke internet memang sejenis malware kot..

3. guna firewall untuk halang dia connect ke internet...

4. cuba hantar scan ker...

hmm...

xdpt pindah, ade prgram yg tgh gune, tp webcam dh tutup dh..

pastu dh tutup snapdetect kt task manager, still die kte ade program yg tgh gune snapdetect..

skrg tgh scan virus kt link yg ninja bg

btw, i dh scan pc gune avira, avg, norton, spybot S&D, superantispyware, portable av (malaysia), sumenye x check snap detect... program yg sye gune mcm kt pic tu je yg detect...

memang file ni kontroversi kot....kalau google pun tak sependapat...inconclusive...

tapi kalau webcam boleh run tanpa filen ni...boleh remove kot...tekan control-alt-delete untuk task manager...kemudian cari snapdetec.exe..klik kanan...end process...

atau try guna unlocker untuk unhandle file ni..free je unlocker ni...... http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ ..pas tu rename atau pindahkan...

kalau ragu ragu dan masih tak boleh buat keputusan....untuk sementara boleh delete registry supaya dia tidak load semasa startup windows ...pakai ccleaner... www.ccleaner.com ...

okay... erm, btw ape fungsi snapdetect ni? webcam xleh pakai ke tanpa snapdetect?

dh bukak task manager, terminate snapdetect. Pastu mse nk pindah snapdetect dr windows, windows kte ade program lain yg gune snapdetect.. huhuhu...
