Delete Partition

salam to all,

alkisahnye, aku nyer PC ada a few hard drives; (abaikan letter utk hard drive aku, ari tu tukar2 dia)

C - biasala, system drive
E - partition dari C

D - another hard drive

Soalan:

1. kalo E tu bukan system drive, kalo aku buat back up files, boleh delete begitu shj kan kat Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Computer Management?

2. bile aku delete, disk volume akan automatic naik ke utk partition C tuh?

3. any risk at all?

Thanks utk sesape yg sudi membaca + menjawabkan persoalan aku. aku dah google byk page tapi nak kepastian sebelum buat. karang pape jadi, takleh berforum dah...

1- yes. buleh jugak rightclick MyComputer>Manage>Disk Management.

2- tak. partition tu akan jadi un-allocated partition. so, kene guna Disk management utk format, set size dan set drive letter.

3- risk : kalau delete partition failed - kena guna 3rd party software (partition magic/paragon partition manager) sbb windows tools takbleh buat kerja tu. biasanya takde apa la.

tips : sbelom delete partition, sila buat thorough CheckDisk - (full exam) takut ada bad sector:
         rightclick D partition-Properties-Tools-Error Checking = Check Now = check/tick dedua box.

dlm disak management tu, lepas ko delete partition tu, ko akan trus nmpak unallocated disk/partition.

ok...skrg ni aku dah ada unlocated , with no name watsoever.

pastu next to it is the C drive lah. aku nak this unlocated masuk dlm C drive, biar C drive tu tambah capacity dia...

tapi tak dpt cari apa nak tekan. thanks!

nak merge unallocated to C:\ mmg takleh guna windows disk management.

tu kene guna 3rd party software such as Partition Magic atau Paragon Partition Manager.
