Golongan Muslim Uyghur ni dulu dalam 1949, populasi dlm 94%, tapi pasal dasar diskriminasi Komunis China, diorg export golongan Cina Han ke kawasan Xinjiang ni, skrg pendatang Han ni dah kuasai ekonomi & populasi (41%), & secara sistematik cube kurangkan populasi golongan Muslim Uyghur ni, sebabkan rasa tidakpuashati pada pemerintah komunis China, & akhirnya berlaku insiden yg tak diduga ini.
Pemerintah Komunis China juga mengambil kesempatan atas insiden 9/11, melabelkan golongan Uyghur yg cube menuntut hak autonomi & perpisahan dari China sebagai pengganas & melakukan tangkapan besar-besaran terhadap pemimpin Uyghur.

Xinhuareported that two Uyghur workers were killed and about 60 injured whenHan Chinese workers were provoked by rumors that a Uyghur worker hadraped a Han woman. Photos of the scene, with people standing next tothe bodies, circulated on the Internet, flaming anger from the Uyghurcommunity. Uyghurs are saying the government lowballed the casualtyfigure and demanded it reveal the truth. These actions provided thebackdrop for the latest bloodshed.
It is being said that Uyghurs are rioting due to strong feelings ofbeing victimized by discrimination. The Turkic and Muslim Uyghurs havea different ethnicity, culture and language from the Han Chinese. In1944, they briefly declared independence as the East TurkestanRepublic, but the region, which fell within China’s sphere of influencein the 19th century, was annexed by China in 1949. Since then, Chinahas pursued a major colonization policy, and the Han Chinese populationhas grown from 6 percent in 1949 to 41 percent as a result, incitingUyghur complaints that the Han Chinese have been trampling on theiridentity and stripping them of their place to live and their economicrights.
Ultimately, the Uyghur incident originates with China’s policiestowards ethnic minorities. Without active efforts to respect the ethnicidentity of minorities and reduce economic discrimination, the unrestin Xinjiang and Tibet cannot help but repeat itself. China must nowre-examine its ethnic minority policies at its source.
