Thailand has won the bronze medal at the baseball tournament during the 2011 South East Asian Games in Indonesia. In the game for third place on Saturday morning they defeated Vietnam 12-4, turning around 1-4 deficit in the process.
Sek Sitthikaew and Teerasak Kongsabai collected three RBI each to lead the offense of Team Thailand. Five players scored twice. Nam Ha Vu had given Vietnam a three-run lead with a bases clearing double in the third.
It was the lone hit for Vietnam in the game, as pitchers Siraphop Nadee, Nattapong Meeboonrod and Kamolphan Kanjanavisut otherwise held their offense in check. Dang Phuong Vu Le went the distance to take the loss.
The Gold Medal Game between Indonesia and the Philippines will be played on Sunday morning.
