Synopsis
Based on the novel of the same name, “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist” that won the award for excellence in the 2016 Korea Story Contest, will tell the story of Yoo Se Poong (Kim Min Jae), a well-known internal medicine doctor who gets expelled from the royal court after getting caught up in a conspiracy. When he meets Seo Eun Woo (Kim Hyang Gi) and Gye Ji Han (Kim Sang Kyung) in the strange and beautiful village of Gyesu, he works to become a true doctor who heals the heart.
The drama depicts a type of psychiatry that comforts not only the patients, but also the people around the patient, who is in the midst of a world that prompts everyone to renounce conscience. It tells the story of Yoo Se Poong, a conscripted official, growing into a psychiatrist set in the Joseon era. His skills are amazing enough to be called the legend of the royal palace, but due to some reasons, he ends up suffering trauma every time a needle is taken. He gets expelled from the royal court after he becomes involved in a conspiracy of the royal family and loses his great ability as an acupuncturist.
Seo Eun Woo is a helpless girl burdened by unbearable everyday life, who escapes and becomes a psychiatrist. She is a widow with a twist who infers the stories of those who are heartbroken. As the daughter of a noble family, she has sharp observation skills and extraordinary empathy. She feels wronged by her sudden marriage, and in the midst of being in danger of involuntarily becoming a wife who stays virtuous to her deceased husband, she meets Yoo Se Poong and faces dramatic changes.
Gye Ji Han is the doctor of Sorak village who hides his warmth under a grumpy personality. Although he makes a bad first impression as someone who seems to be materialistic and obsessed with money, he is actually a sincere person the more you get to know him. Then one day, he will lead Yoo Se Poong towards the path of becoming a true doctor that heals the heart.

Ok jugak citer ni…dah tgk epi 1…healing drama tapi versi zaman joseon…hero kena lucutkan jawatan tabib istana sebab akibatkan kematian raja lalu dicampak kat 1 kampung…dia yg dah hilang semangat cuba nak bunuh diri tapi dpt diselamatkan oleh sorang pompuan…ironinya at the end of the episode dia pulak yg selamatkan pompuan ni dari bunuh diri…

Kesiannya lady Seo…x sempat lagi jumpa laki dia tiba2 laki dia mati…dpt pulak mak mentua from hell…mana x depress…padahal dia sendiri pun dari family yg ada2 jugak tapi maybe culture zaman tu once dah kahwin kena ikut family in law…nak balik rumah parents sendiri pun x blh…
Heroin (Kim Hyang Gi) ni dlm along with the gods nmpk budak lagi…dia memang byk berlakon movie…
Cuma yg x faham pasal nenek dgn anak dia nama poong tu…apa masalah diorg sbnrnya? Kenapa anak dia mcm xnak anggap yg mak dia hidup lagi?

Ok selain drpd citer pasal medicine zaman joseon, citer ni jugak sentuh pasal forensic science zaman tu…daebak masa tu dah ada ilmu forensic ni…rasa mcm tgk crime thriller punya drama tapi versi zaman joseon…
wow not bad, interesting plot , wow acupunture. citer dia seakan akan royal inspector Jo yi tu jugak tapi kelaianan dia ialah , mamat ni bijak and brilliant in two fields, arts and medicine, and somethin really tragic happened to him. in Fact his khadam tu hahaha yg sama dengan Inspector Ryu and Jo yi .
tapi i am curious - sebab scene 1 intro ep 1 - dimulai dengan Poong sendiri Yoo Se - Poong membaca satu jurnal yg dituis mengisahkan perjalanan biografi seorang mamat physician yg bagus - yoo....
lepas tu the seque of the plot then in the narrative of the book....itulah tu...
dan kita nonton siri siri path tohis discovery , healing etc
good healing , adventure ,historical period ...hahaha

tapi dlm epi 4 kesian dia kena frame for murder...
so far i like tema citer ni...

it's about healing, murder investigation, opression to the women zaman tu but not typical mcm yg kita biasa tgk...
