Following the protest by passengers, they were finally deboarded at 1 pm. Meanwhile, the flight finally took off at 4:32 pm. The video of the event was shared online by Tejasvi Anandkumar Soni. In the caption, Soni called the experience with Air India “horrible”.
He stated, “Passengers started feeling suffocated and yet the crew did not provide and relief until passengers forced them to open the gates and deboard.” Further, he alleged that the captain did not come out to alleviate the situation, instead, he waited for the passengers to lose their calm.
Soni concluded the post by demanding the Aviation Ministry to step up and take action. He also asked why passengers should always bear the brunt in such situations. Netizens quickly took to the comments section to express their opinions and concerns.
Many spoke of how airline companies are becoming quite casual about delays and failing to take responsibility during such scenarios. One commented, “Boycott Air India. Don’t fall for their cheap fares.” The video was viewed over 26 million times.
