MALAYSIA'S No.1 singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza continues to shine as she celebrates nearly 30 years in the music industry with her latest single, 'Sejarah'.
The song, composed by Indonesia's renowned maestro Erwin Gutawa, is a heartfelt tribute to her extraordinary journey.
A collaboration with lyricist and Erwin's daughter, Gita Gutawa, 'Sejarah' reflects a life rich with experiences, gratitude and inspiration.
"I asked Gita to craft lyrics that embody someone who has lived fully and appreciatively," said Erwin in a statement.
To enhance its grandeur, the Czech Symphony Orchestra performed a stunning arrangement tailored exclusively for Siti.
The single also marks a meaningful reunion between Siti and Erwin.
At her personal request, Erwin composed the piece to narrate her artistic odyssey.
"Singing this song feels like reliving every chapter of my career, with each memory vividly coming to life," she said.
Siti, who hopes the new song will touch the hearts of her fans as deeply as it has touched hers, also thanked Aubrey Suwito for assisting in the vocal recording process in Kuala Lumpur.
This special release caps a busy year for Siti, who has been captivating audiences through a series of concerts, further solidifying her legacy as a true icon of the music industry.
