Orange and Lemons was a Filipino pop rock band formed in 1999. The band name "Oranges and Lemons" was initially recommended by a former member of the group. Apparently the band was not aware at that time that the name was actually derived from a British nursery rhyme and a title of an album by the British band "XTC". So they changed it to "Orange and Lemons".
With a style of retro music combined with alternative rock, the band has become few of Pinoy Rock bands that have definitive sound that separated them from the rest of pure pop and rock. The band's main musical influences ranged from The Beatles and The Smiths, to The Cure and The Eraserheads.
Orange and Lemons or ONL was a grand and swift crossover story from their humble beginnings as a virtually unknown act in the scene to being independent artists to being artists under major label Universal Records Philippines. Their songs enjoyed massive airplay in radio stations and music channels in the country resulting to the band gaining popularity and winning fans of different ages and backgrounds.

Personal information
Over the past few years, a group of young men has dominated a niche market in the music industry. The Bloomfields have been entertaining people, young and old alike, with good old ‘60s music. The group predominantly plays rock and roll with sporadic ballads and mellow hits. They play at various bars across the metro and are favorites for corporate and media events. They are one of the few bands in the Philippines that incorporates harmonies into high-energy numbers. With every performance, they treat the audience to an incredible audible and visual experience.

The band is composed of four young men who display musical versatility. Apart from playing their respective instruments, each member is also adept at singing. Outside of the music scene, the members are also very accomplished - they are all educated, intelligent and eloquent young men.

Rocky Collado is fondly called “Gene Krupa of the Philippines” and “Doctor of the drums” due to his unparalleled talent in drum playing. His famous rendition of “Little B” is always a highpoint in their performance. Rocky is also a very talented singer, a gifted visual artist and the resident “talker” of the band.

Lakan Hila plays the lead guitar and the keyboard. He comes from a family of musicians which explains his proficiency in virtually any instrument he attempts to play. Lakan is responsible for the amazing leads during instrumentals often playing the keyboard with his guitar still firmly strapped to his chest.

Louie Poco is the bass player and the master of rock and roll showmanship. He is often seen jumping off stages, standing on tables and doing all sorts of maneuvers. He is also the go-to guy for blaring songs. He has the perfect raspy, high-pitched voice for authentic rock and roll.

Dino Pascual is the youngest member of the group. He plays the rhythm guitar and is also the resident balladeer. He has a strong but soothing voice that is always a hit with the ladies. His acoustic roots also allowed him to bring diversity to the band’s repertoire.

Individually, they are amazing but together they are unstoppable. The Bloomfields bring back the richness of the ‘60s with the vitality and energy of today. Young men playing old music – who could ask for more?

The Philippines’ first ever INTER-POP music group brings together their individual musical background and artistic influences to create a tapestry of unique musical experience for empowerment and unification.

They call themselves as Down To Mars because it is an understatement of humility while marveling to the unique world of unlimited creative inspirations. They are composed of seven good-looking lads who have the knack for music and high sense of fashion. The group wants to popularize electro pop as their music genre. They have an exclusive contract with GMA Artist Center and they have been performing live in Party Pilipinasmusical variety show. They have a growing fan base locally and in other countries as well.

Down To Mars digs the milieu of our country’s pop music scene that is so diverse from OPM, PPOP, KPOP and JPOP influences that often clash when we define our very own. But Down To Mars does not limit the vastness of music as an artistic expression. The group brings the best of both worlds from being half Filipino, Korean, Chinese and Japanese respectively. Music for them is an artistic platform to leverage their notions about life and bridge these messages to the world of multi-cultures.

Down To Mars’ diversity blends the most exciting music that will invade the industry soon.
