 Joss Whedon's The Avengers not only brought together a likable group of heroes, but was also the first movie is the franchise to recycle an old villain. Tom Hiddleston brought Loki to life in the first Thor and was already beloved by the time we got to see him fight against Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which only made the film that much more entertaining. The upcoming The Avengers: Age of Ultron will not have that advantage, however. Not only does the blockbuster have the challenge of living up to the first one, but must do so with an untested, largely CGI villain that has never been portrayed in live-action. Why isn't Marvel Studios sweating this mission? Because they have James Spader. Speaking with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in promotion of the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Movies.com snuck in a few questions about what we can expect from the highly-anticipated Avengers sequel, and the executive stressed that we should be very excited to see the opposition that the titular team will be going up against. Explaining that they love the character from the comics and that he won't be portrayed as "just a robot," Feige said, "I think people are going to very, very excited to see what we're doing with the voice that Joss [Whedon] is bringing to life with James Spader for Ultron... We want him to have an extreme personality and attitude, and James Spader is doing an unbelievable job. Again, for us it's always about subverting expectations. Whenever you think you know what's coming next, we surprise people or deliver it in a slightly unexpected way. And Spader is doing that with Mr. Ultron."
