Mulai 15 Oktober ini, kadar tol di beberapa lebuh raya akan dinaikkan.

Menurut Maju Expressway Sdn Bhd yang mengendalikan Lebuh Raya Maju (MEX) kadar tol akan dinaikkan antara 20 sen dan RM3.

ANIH Berhad yang mengendalikan Lebuh Raya Kuala Lumpur – Karak mengumumkan kadar bayaran di Plaza Tol Gombak dan Bentong naik antara 30 sen dan RM3 mulai Khamis ini.

Bagi pengedali Lebuh Raya SILK yang mengendalikan laluan Kajang, pula mengumumkan kadar akan dinaikkan di antara 40 sen and RM2.40.

Higher toll rates along DUKE, SILK Highway from Thursday

KUALA LUMPUR: Toll rates along the Kajang Traffic Dispersal Ring Road (Kajang-SILK Highway) and the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway in the Klang Valley will go up with effect from Thursday, Oct 15.

SILK Holdings Bhd said on Monday, its Sistem Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd would raise the toll for cars to RM1.80.

For vehicles with two axles and five or six wheels (except for buses), the new rate is RM3.60.

“The implementation of the new toll rate structure,is expected to contribute positively to the revenue from toll collection for SILK Highway, although this is expected to be off-set by a reduction in revenue from toll compensation payable to SILK Highway.

“All in all, the implementation of the new toll rate structure is expected to have a positive impact on group revenue in the medium to longer term,” said SILK Holdings.

Meanwhile, the toll rates for the DUKE highway will be increased from Thursday whereby the rates for cars would be RM2.50 at the Ayer Panas, Sentul Pasar and Kampung Batu toll plazas respectively.

Ekovest Bhd’s unit, Konsortium Lebuhraya Utara-Timur (KL) Sdn Bhd, which is the concessionaire for the DUKE highway, said the increase in the toll was in line with the concession agreement signed with the fovenment on Aug 12, 2004.

The agreement was for all classes of vehicles except for buses.

The 18km DUKE traverse between the east and west of the northern corridor of Kuala Lumpur. It lively links the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) on the west side of Kuala Lumpur to the Karak Highway on the north and Middle Ring Road II at Jalan Ulu Kelang on the east.

The construction of the 16.4km DUKE extension which is currently on-going consists of two links namely the Sri Damansara Link which commences from the Menjalara Interchange at Bandar Menjalara and ends at the Segambut Interchange at Jalan Segambut and the Tun Razak Link which commences from Jalan Tun Razak near Kuala Lumpur Hospital/ Institut Jantung Negara and ends at the Sentul Pasar Interchange at Jalan Gombak.
