After eight feature-length directing credits and more than 20 years atop the Hollywood hierarchy, director Quentin Tarantino has earned a reputation that makes any project he’s working on a big deal. The famed auteur’s next film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, uses the infamous Manson Family murders of 1969 as its backdrop, and recently cast the actor who will portray notorious cult leader Charles Manson.
The all-star cast of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which is said to be separated into thematic chapters (à la Pulp Fiction), currently includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, among other well-known Hollywood actors. Filming is currently underway on the movie.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is an upcoming American mystery crime film centered around the Manson Family murders, directed and written by Quentin Tarantino. The film will be released on August 9, 2019, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Tate-LaBianca murders.
"Set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969, a male TV actor has had one hit series and is looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick—who is also his stunt double—is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson's cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.
Casting: Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth: Rick's longtime stunt double and close friend.
Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton: An actor who starred in the Western television series, Bounty Law, from 1958 to 1963. His attempt to transition to movies did not work out and in 1969, he is struggling, guesting on other people's shows while contemplating going to Italy – which has become a hotbed for low-budget Westerns. He is neighbors with Sharon Tate.
Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate: A pregnant actress married to Roman Polanski, who was murdered in her home by followers of Charles Manson.
Al Pacino as Marvin Shwarz: Rick Dalton's agent.
Burt Reynolds as George Spahn: An 80-year old near blind man who rented his LA ranch out to be used as the location for Westerns.
Manson convinced Spahn to allow him and his followers to live on the ranch, in the months before they murdered Sharon Tate and six others.
In exchange for rent, Manson coerced his female followers into hopping into bed with the ranch owner, and serving as his seeing eye guides.
Quentin Tarantino has found a legendary replacement for the late Burt Reynolds in his Hollywood-centric new film.Veteran screen star Bruce Dern will step in for Reynolds in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” an impossibly starry ensemble tale about an actor and his stunt double navigating a changing Hollywood as the Manson family terrorizes Los Angeles.
It’s set to hit theaters on July 26, 2019

Real crime movie adaptations always piqued my interest. Kalau sape2 yang dah baca buku Helter Skelter pun mesti nak tengok movie ni.
Rasanya ada lagi 2 upcoming movies about Sharon Tate.

This is Luke Perry's last movie to be released posthumously, after suffering a massive stroke in late February 2019 and ultimately passing away March 4, 2019. The movie is set to release in July. The man he portrays, Wayne Maunder, died the previous year.
