aku lebih suka buk mi-2.... |

only 2 missiles per launcher huh??? at least the Buk M1 has twice that number.
i'd prefer a setup where u have vertical launched missiles like the Aster series although those might prove to be just out of reach given our shamelessly tiny budget.
so i guess the Buk M1 will be my practical/real world choice la.. |

Russian Buk-M1...

kalu jadik beli kene beli untuk lebig drpd 4 rejimen pertahanan udara...(kuantan, pontian, lumut, penang, miri) |

I suspect that Aster will be too expensive. One battery of BUK-M1-2 is around $15-20 million. One battery of SAMP-T is around $47 million. I only hope its not the KS-1A. I heard that it has a lot of probs. |

KS-1A is not even used by the PRC themselves!!!!!
I say stick to BUK-M1  |

Jernas pun kita beli 3 batteries (for total of 9 launchers). Gonna be tough for us to buy enough BuK-M1 for 4 rejimens. |

Jernas is short range...i thk the cost is cheaper then middle range SAM...by the way our 9MP military spend seem dun hv enough budget for us buy more.. |

Saya ingat 1 bateri= 6 launcher. Atau dalam ATM, 1 bateri=3 launcher? Tolong bagii penjelasan, berapa launcher dalam satu bateri ATM? |

For wat I know about Jernas is 3 launcher, 1 Blindfire tracking radar and 1 Dagger surveillance radar consider 1 standard squad/battalion(i no sure how to determine it) & ATM jst brought 2 battalion onli... |

"Each battery typically consists of a command vehicle, surveillance radar vehicle, SIX TELARs and SIX reload/launch vehicles"
TELAR itu adalah: Transporter Erector Launcher. Tiap Tiap TELAR BUK ada 4 missile:
Kerana ini saya ingat 1 bateri= 6 launcher.

buleh consider kot untuk 4 rejimen, sama mcm battery je benanya..tapi kompleks skit pasal dier xserupe ngan jernas tu..dia ada kelengkapan yang lebih darpda jernas jadi xkan nak guna istilah battery mesti pakai rejimen lakot baru padan.satu lagi dier nye harga murah kalu nak compare ngan diernye kelengkapan.. |

The value of ground-based AD is to force the enemy to conduct SEAD. For this purpose, the cheaper Chinese solution is sufficient. We should not be looking for a show-stopping system. This is the RMAF's job, which they are ill-equipped to do right now. |

Moreover, we should for once discard our illogical norm of buying in tiny batches. The cheaper Chinese system helps somewhat. |
