Hi all...
juz to discuss laa..
if..korang keje kat one of the established, MNC & conglemerate company..that offers u good package, good salary, annual bonus pun ala2 gempak ~ good benefit sume la ...
the situation is...
u hv a degree la in ur field..the position that u assign tu patut nyer la kan mmg la suitable wit ur qualification..
but...
1) u rasa ur work skrg tak blh improve ur skills in ur field..thats mean, ur skills maybe akan terbatas kat satu industry tu jer..
2) rasa cam dok situ tak berkembang ur knowledge, ability & skill
3) and u r young...below 25..and this is ur 2nd company..
4) job scope u tu, cam tak berapa luas la kan...
5) pastu kan..cam if u ada intention to stay lama kat company tu,maybe ok la kot..but if u nak berhijrah ke company lain, u punya value tu cam tak berapa bagus since u r not updated with the latest innovation & technology in science & engineering...
6) baru keje kat company tu around 2-3 months...
7) work load? bz? -- haa mmg tak terkata kot...bz sokmo
in term of good benefit & salary pay,mmg la akan stay..
but in term of ur carier development camner? perkembangan knowledges & skills sume camner?
perlukah cari keje lain immediately?
or juz stay at the company for a few years...get some experiences...?
lets discuss...

salam chem larling ~
My advise on this kind of question is :
If this is ur first foray into the jobmarket and u r consider lucky to be accepted for employment in an MNC
Stick to it for at least a year...how r u suppose to know that where u r at now does not contribute to ur level of expertise?
For the first 2-3 months there are always job jitters...u got to get urself settle with the environment, job expectation etc.
Its not a noble thing to do to job hop so early on in ur employment as it will reflect badly on ur future resume, the term job hopper is not one that any employer will like to see as an added bonus.
When in employment in any company..asked not what the company can do for you...rather asked yourself WHAT u can do to help out the company...as this are attributes that a company will highly treasure in their employers as it shows that u hv the company interest at heart ~ a sure way to boost ur level standing in any establishment
my 2 cents |

hi chemist
i am now attached with a local conglomerate
it's a huge holding company with many diversified subsidiaries
i am in accounting line nad has been with this company 8 yrs
anyway, being under finance means i am transferable anywhere
for the past 8 yrs cik dee dah work with plantations division, IT (doing financial software), insurance, shopping mall, retailing and now attached with the education industry (attached with a private uni doing accounting)
in fact all my assignments are accounting/finance based
tu pasal boleh stay sampai 8 tahun
and every time kena transfer to new div/dept, rasa cam dpt kerja baru
cuma gaji jek la tak ubah byk
getting to know new people, new environment and understanding your new job scope among others la
erk, not sure if this really helps.. |

hi chemist
ive been in your situation... been with a good caring company that pays quite ok, very good benefits, work life balance.. but offer less rotation in jobs.. so im stuck with the same work for 5 years. If i was given a chance to do something else within the co, i would have stayed there... but getting a transfer is very very difficult. So i was left with a hard decision to make, either to stay or broaden my skills to other co.
After doing some hard thinking, I resigned and moved to another co. A smaller co. Pays better with lesser benefits.. but with a higher responsibilities and job scope and I acquire a different skills.... In combination of both skills that i have previously and now, makes me more marketable in my career.
Eventually, i will make another move now that I have the skills that i want to a bigger and better co...
My advice, stay in the co until u reap the benefits and move on at the right time. But not wait too long that makes it difficult for you to move on. Usually ppl would stay ard 2-3 years.
My story.... |
