How NOT To Use PowerPoint

Assalamualaikum,

speaking in public is natural for me, bukan nak riak tapi sering mendapat pujian
Alhamdulillah
tapi...
prior to the speaking in public, is HELL! |
|
|

as for me, the hardest part of public speaking is always answering the expected answer from the audience.
delivering the speech is always a breeze for everyone who has done a fair bit of talking.
i read a book of finding 'the Roman column' in every question. the Roman column is like the key issue.
buku tu sgt best tapi i tak ingat sape author n tajuk buku sbb its not with me now. |

do you usually have a script when you giving ur speech?
like a basic structure of how you gonna deliver your speech?
do you write it down?
just wanna know different people's approaches to giving speech |

Assalamualaikum,

sorry for the late reply
i usually do a script that's not quite a script; basically i get all the related info listed and then i pick the relevant ones and present them.
For a speech, i normally have my intro ready and the intro would have a thesis statement. This is then followed by a body of content that would have examples thrown in. Then I sum everything up.
When its an impromptu public speaking, writing everythin down is not a priviledge. I just keep track of what the topic is about and say what i need to say.
You? |

For a speech, ...
Hye herb,
Your approach is definitely different than mine.
In terms of speeches, I will always highlight the main key points and elaborate verbally from there.
Even masa zaman berdebate dulu2, I cant imagine having to write the whole 5 mins speech and rebuttals.
Tak kuaso den but with time and practice, I definitely enjoy talking in front of people, with an objective.
My style nowadays, even dlm speech pun ada quote and sources. Sometimes they thought I made up some of the points. Bengang betul.
Alhamdulillah, my presentations and verbal explanations saved me from the other parts of the assessments.
But, I still havent try to be a panel and being bombarded by big intelligent questions by the audiences.
I wish...hihihi |
