i've been thinking of watching this movie -
(the production was last year - 2007)
there's a preview tonite and tomolo nite
whilst it won't be the best movie of da year
perhaps there's some interesting stuff the director
wanna show in here -

as we know - gabriel is an angel both for islam and
christianity -
thus it would be interesting how the movie wanna show
about  light vs darkness by using  angel vs demon
instead of portraying human being -

i was thinking this is more to - gabriel vs lucifer (fallen angel) though -

anyway - i will write some review about once i seen it -
oh btw - this is australian movie - i am not into australia production much
(but enjoy croc dundee though - both series) --  


let's look at the synopsis -

Far from Grace.

Gabriel is a dark action/drama that takes place in the realm of Purgatory.
It reveals the struggle between Arc and Fallen Angels for control over
the city and its population of reborn souls.

At present, darkness rules and Gabriel (Andy Whitfield), the last of seven
Arcs sent to bring back light, must assume a human form. In the darkest
places of the human soul, this lone Arc Angel's battle with his human feelings
will prove as perilous as facing the fallen.

aku dah tengok citer nih. ada 3 choice citer pada mase tuh tp aku pilih citer nih memandangkan minat aku kat gabriel batistuta sebagai idola bola sepak sepanjang zaman ku. tp cam siyallll dah la tak logik ada ke malaikat lawan pakai pistol jek tak penah sepanjang aku tengok movie tertido dalam cinema dan tak penah jugak aku kuar sebelum tamat tayangan dan rekod aku tuh berakhir semalam

memang obivous sangat bajet rendah....tapi Angel tu memang salah satu dari unsur keagamaan apa....

cite ni dari Australi rasenye..

aku tak paham kenapa Buena Vista Columbia Tristar Malaysia nak bawa masuk film dari Australia ni ke Malaysia.. maybe diorang jeles kut sbb United International Pictures Malaysia sibuk bawa film2 dari NZ (eg Black Sheep, Ferryman), so dorg nak bawa film Aussie ke Msia gak.. kalau yg ok skit tu takpe la gak, yg ni dah taraf longkang ke apa.. aku rasa satu kesilapan besar dok bawa Gabriel masuk Malaysia, rasenye bnyk lagi film Australia lain yg agak OK..

aku tak sure sebelum ni ada x film Australia dibawa masuk ke wayang, yg aku tau cuma film Amy je, yg tu pun diletakkan under GSC International Screen..

aku tgk citer ni mlm tadi. well...at first citer ni agak slow skit. expectation aku initially mmg ZERO. gambar dia tak sharp sgt...scene very slum and dingy...ye la...world of darkness la bih kurang. tapi mmg purposely kot gambar dia buat mcm tu aku pun tatau la. then interest start to build up skit2. time introduce the other arcs..mata aku dah bugar skit (sebelum masuk wayang aku makan rawsha ok...so ngantuk tak henggat beb)...all in all...best la movie ni. a bit mcm quentin tarantino tapi lagi cool lagi. twist yg sgt bagus in the end. citer ni byk buat aku dok "oo...aaa..." mcm ala2 revelation la. tapi aku no doubt org2 christian yg tua2 takkan baper happy sgt ngan citer ni sbb arc di potraykan sebagai insan yg mudah kalah dgn temptation (arc tersangat vain, arc mabuk wasted, arc jadi hooker etc.) tapi sebenarnyer meaning dia mendalam lagi. sampai la ni aku dok terpokir-pikir. aku nak citer mau panjang lagi sbb byk opik leh ckp tapi bagus la aku recommend korang gi tgk dgn minda yg terbuka. mmg by far one of the coolest and darkest disturbing film (utk aku lar...)
