HIZREEN KAMAL looks at the new format of the TV show that annually heralds the Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) awards show in an attempt to gain more viewers.
THE Prelude Kemuncak AIM 15 television programme (a countdown programme for the Anugerah Industri Muzik 15 awards show, now in its third season), takes on a new format this time around.
It will be showcasing energetic performances and interviews with previous AIM winners over the last 15 years.
The 16-episode show, to be aired beginning Thursday on ntv7 (8.30pm), will see a different take to the previous seasons which featured only nominees and composers of various categories.
Datuk Amrin Awaluddin, ntv7抯 chief executive officer, said the new format will give viewers a look at some of the past winners and how they have moved on since winning their awards.
He said viewers will also be informed on the development of the local music industry over the years in the interview segment.
Among the artistes to be featured are Spring, Ning Baizura, Shima, Dayang Nurfaizah, Raihan, Zainal Abidin, Nurul, Shahrizan Borhan and Lefthanded.
Each episode will feature two past AIM winners performing their winning songs and other popular numbers 搇ive |
