Hai otai2 semua..
Nak tanya sikit ni.. apa sebenarnya Free DOS tu. Last week ada la pergi kdai PC tengok2 Laptop. Then ada la dia kata Laptop tu datang dengan Free DOS. Apa benda tu sebenarnya? Kalau tak ada DOS tu.. Laptop tu boleh berfungsi ke tak?

pastu driver kene cari sendiri gak..
ok lah dpt lah jimat skit.. wpun payah sejam dua nak kene install sana sini.. |

Just a nice way for them to say that they're going legit while keeping the cost down on you... You won't be able to do much on it, the last time I checked on Free DOS.... If you're comfortable with Windows that is, which most ppl nowadays are; BTW.
Or the guy was trying to say that, "I can appear to be legit, as I don't supply pirated software; but I won't stop you from going to the shop next door & get a pirated CDs of Windows & other applications".
IMHO, you'd be much more easier if you get the one that comes with a Linux/GNU distro installed. That way, you'd have a choice whether to go with the pirated software (...not that I condone piracy...) or to go OpenSource by choosing Linux/GNU as you know that the hardware works with Linux/GNU...
The choice is yours.... |

tapi tak plak bg cd utk vista tuh....
kira macam mana tuh... PIRATE KER

tak semestinya. as long as kat laptop tu ada pelekat serial number untuk vista, it's not pirate. nowadays, manufacturers dah start create hidden partition for os recovery, instead of giving out cd.
kalau dua-dua tak de, most probably your vista is pirate copy.

Masa boot ada nampak msg suruh tekan "F11" (rasanya) tak? Acer selalu guna hidden partition macam oobi cakap, untuk recovery; tapi selalunya dia bagi CD untuk drivers etc....
From my experience, Acer takkan guna pirated copy cuz risk dia besar sgt; being international entity... Tapi kemungkinan reseller yg cilok CD & license tu tetap ada.... Beli kat Acer's authorised dealer ke?
Anyway, kalau ada sticker license tu boleh le beli CD pirated copy & install guna license yg ada tu.... License key tu ada kat situ...... Cuma make sure U pegi download semua driver2 dia dengan utilities sekali kalau ada... |

pada pendapat aku, sesiapa yg beli laptop, better beli pakej lengkap dgn OS (winxp or vista), jangan DOS.
laptop2 latest ni, guna SATA harddisk, i.e. kalau nk instal sendiri winxp or vista, kena ada driver tu dulu. mmg payah.
so, paling senang, klu mmg free DOS pon, mintak kt kedai lowyat tu, soh masukkan OS. |
