they called it 'merlin'
aw101 ni rebranded. before dat it is known as eh101 at dat time was owned
by european helicopter industries. later on aku tak sure samada dis co tutup
or merged wit agusta..but dis thing was manufactured at agusta's factories.
since then terus jadi aw101.
anzain..
aku nak tanya bila time refuel..actually dia air to air refueling
atau airborne refueling?
ada difference ke between those 2 methods? |

eh101 ngan aw101 sama ajer tukar nama .....logo agusta pun tukar....
eh101/aw101 nie ader satu lagi jenis ,,......US101 untuk limited untuk askar amerika ajer .....contoh heli vvip untuk presiden us...
setahu aku la air to air refueling kat udara laa
airborne refueling????macam mana nak refuel kalau tgh nak takeoff
yg pasti sebelum airborne boleh la refueling........ |

2. airborne refueling. Lebih dikenali sebgai HIFR (Helicopter in-flight refueling). Heli hover sambil mengisi minyak. |

Aku ada terbaca dalam Defence News. Denmark yang operates EH101 (similar to AW101) menghadapi masalah dengan EH101 mereka tail-rotor cracking..

'rolls royce of copters' cuz dia guna rtm322 engine [3bijik] tu.

Tula, kalau nak mengenangkan bajet kecik buat apa nak ambik AW101 just to keep up with the Joneses kata orang Perak...MI17 pun sesuai untuk utility dan transport role tapi tak sesuai untuk CSAR...dats why TUDM mungkin peroleh AW101 dlm limited numbers untuk role CSAR tapi Mi utk transport..I dont know, cud still be debated..Lagipun AW101 ni mungkin boleh share ILS dan logistic service support dgn AW yg APMM bakal peroleh.. |

AW101 ni advantage dia 3 enjin dan rotorblade tu aje. Rotorblade special sikit.
The AW101's fuselage which is damage and crash resistant, stringent vibration control, reduced noise signature, ability to operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to +50oC, armoured seats for the crew, and able to withstand an impact velocity of over 10 metres per second. Other special features of the AW101 were its flight controls that were designed to be flown by a single pilot, thanks to the high-definition instrumentation screens, digital maps, advanced avionics, ra**, dipping sonar and weapons systems.
