It's a true story:
I give out the resignation letter today since the contract says 1 week notice (if not deduct 1 week salary), means I'll quiting next week.
Then the HR said:No, 1 week notice means 1 week of working days notice. But you are taking unpaid leaves the next day for 3 days. So it's not consider as 1 week notice.
I said: Then I'll work for another 1 week.
HR said: No, manager says you can leave now.
I said: Fine! Then I already work for 2 weeks, deduct my 1 week then I still have another 1 week salary!
HR said: No, since probation need to deduct RM200 from your salary, and I'll deduct your unpaid leaves salary. Means you will have no salary.(Basic=RM1500)
I said: Since you said I can leave now, means I no longer working you, means the next day my unpaid salary is not counted.
HR said: No, it's counted.
At this point, I already too angry to say anything. I leave.
