Hospital seeks ailing boy's family

Boyzone Abas who is partially-paralysed due to a brain tumour is
being treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital抯 palliative care unit
in Kota Kinabalu.

KOTA KINABALU: Blind and partially-paralysed due to a brain tumour,
a 16-year-old boy from a remote village in northern Sabah may not
have much time left to be reunited with his family.
Boyzone Abas, who comes from a poor family, last met his father a
few months ago when the boy was warded at the Pitas district hospital.


He was subsequently sent to the Oncology Unit at Likas Hospital near
the city and it was discovered that his brain cancer had spread.

While being treated, he went blind and the left side of his body
became paralysed.

Masjid Bandaraya Women Affairs chairman Dr Suzain Suhaimi is seeking
assistance to locate Boyzone's family so that they could go to Queen
Elizabeth Hospital's palliative care unit where he is now warded.

"Boyzone's father, known only as Abas, returned to Kampung Pandan
in Pitas after sending his son to the district hospital," she said
yesterday.

"From the little that we know, his family is very poor and the village
is very remote.

"We also managed to find out from Boyzone that his stepmother is
paralysed. His biological mother had died much earlier.

"Boyzone finished year six at Sekolah Kebangsaan Pandan Mandamai
and he remembers a teacher by the name of Juliana.

"We have adopted him and we are willing to pay for expenses to bring
his father and any other family members over to Kota Kinabalu.

"I do not think Boyzone can travel to his village because he suffering
from bed sores and is in pain."

Dr Suzain said she had tried to get assistance from the police and
the Pitas district hospital, but that the numbers she was given were
not reachable.

The town of Pitas is about four hours away from Kota Kinabalu, and
as a remote district, has many far-flung villages, some of which
are not accessible during bad weather due to poor road conditions.

harap-harap dapat la dia jumpa family dia sebelum pergi...

sia pernah pergi pitas sekali... punya lah jauh... jalan pun belum turap lagi...

tapi yang sioknya di sana.. di tepi jalan ada orang jual kupang... kalu hubby sia pigi sana.. mesti beli tu kupang.. sekilo RM2 tapi tidak tau sekarang masih ada atau teda...

alalala.. adore.. rindu betul mau makan kupang...

tapi sambil makan tu kupang sambil ketawa-ketawa sama hubby sia... sebab rupanya pelik sikit.. keh keh keh...

tapi tu udang... kadang2 dua minggu sekali durang jual sini di opis sia.. ada satu tokey dari pitas tu.. rajin tul bawa udang, dia jual sekilo rm 15... kadang kadang rm16... minta dia jual kupang dia tidak mau pula.. he he he..

suda la mama dia teda... mama tiri dia pun paralyse... tinggal pula jauh di pedalaman..

harap-harap dia suda bertemu dengan keluarga dia..

sudah bah dia jumpa family dia..abg tiri dia nama Usman, bkn mama tiri dia tu yg paralysed.  yg paralysed tu datuk dia.  bapa dia yg menjaga datuk dia tu.  psl tu bapa dia pun tidak dpt dtg ke kk utk jumpa baizon.  felix AF pun sudah melawat dia sbb c baizon mmg minat sama c felix ni.

kalo ada sepa2 yg mo menderma dlm bentuk wang, korang boleh hantar duit tu ke klinik dr. suzain di wisma yakim.  simpan duit tu dlm envelope.  tulis nama dr. suzain & tulis di envelope tu derma utk baizon. Tulis juga nama korang & contact no.  skrg ni dorang sdg usahakan buat rumah utk baizon di sebelah rumah abg tirinya supaya senang abg tirinya tu p tingu dia.  mama tiri baizon yg akan jaga dia nanti.
