bang, kalau dah pakai Mac, kalau boleh jgn sebut PC dah pasal PC tu it's more kepada Windows walaupun PC tu stands for  Personal Computer. Selalunya org akan sebut MacBook aku(refer kepada Laptop Berjenama Apple) atau iMac aku (refer kepada desktop Apple), kan lagi senang? baru org tau ko pakai Mac!

Ok back to question, boleh aku tahu ko on OS apa?
boleh gi check kat Apple>About this Mac> Version 10.6.1.
kalau ko ada Parallels Desktop (software virtual machine) ko boleh install apa2 OS pun sekali kat atas PC Mac ko tu, eh PC plak?! Mac ko tu...jangan risau bab rosak...
kalau ko tak ada Virtual Machine, ko leh pakai BootCamp, cuma masalahnya ko kena Off & On balik Mac ko tu.Kalau VM takpayah! click kat dock jer...cuma kena make sure RAM cukup la.2GB dah OK, cuma sluggish skit..

easy steps:

1. check model computer sbb certain models tak support 64 bit.
2. open up Boot Camp Assistant from Applications>Utilities OR from OS X Disc 1
3. ikut je arahan bootcamp

Done.

p/s:

1. x kisah jerycho guna OS apa asalkan ur computer has been updated to the latest firmware.
2. kalau nk gune win7, choice plg baik ialah install ngan Boot Camp, sbb u'd get the full potential of ur computer; rather than using VMware or Paralells.

maybe ade certain programmers/developers/designers yg kdg2 terpaksa deal ngan using windows from time to time.

like me, who's just the average user, it's a different story la. just installing for the sake of it

kalau windows Vista and XP, no thanks la.

Windows 7 however is a different story. it's a pretty neat OS

dulu aku ada gak saje2 install linux kat iMac pakai Desktop Parallels..
Lama2 tak berapa berkenan plak rasanya...last2 aku buang semuanya...
lain kali kalau aku nak install windows ke linux ke aku cari netbook jer...

Ada 2 cara encik nak run other operating system dalam mac.

1. encik guna bootcamp, sudah ada sekali dalam mac os. hanya window 7 home premium keatas sahaja. Kebaikkannya: encik dapat full access semua hardware, encik dapat run game. kira encik dapat sebuah window baru. Kekuranggannya: encik dapat 1 os sahaja pada 1 masa.

2.Encik guna virtual machine, contohnya seperti parallel( ada fungsi coherance), virtual box dan vm ware. Kebaikkannya: encik dapat run window dalam mac serentak.2. Encik dapat run window application pada native speed( parallel sahaja). keburukkannya: encik kena share resource encik dgn virtual os. Kira encik kena bahagi la ram, cpu, vram.

Selalunya, orang yang run window dalam mac nak run business program sahaja. Macam UBS dan Myob. Pasal software ni takde macm version.
