Qian Yanhong, referred to by netizens as "basketball girl", lost both her legs in a car accident in 2000. To deal with the situation, she put half a basketball under her waist and learned to walk using her arms. Qian began her professional swimming training in 2007 and became one of the first members of Yunnan Youth Swimming Club.
